Great question. Incredibly tough.

1. Alan Partridge.

Now to choose two more....from....Blackadder, Only Fools, Red Dwarf, The Young Ones, The Detectorists, Falty Towers, Fast Show, The Day Today.

Let's go for:

Alan Partridge
Blackadder
Only Fools

1. Only Fools - The greatest ever in my view, will never be beaten
2. Porridge - Ronnie Barker at his absolute best
3. Fawlty Towers - A crime there's only 12 episodes

Only Fools; Blackadder; Outnumbered (yes, really: the early series were groundbreaking and hysterically funny.) Agree with shout-outs for every other mentioned - except Allo Allo which was great in series 1 but then every subsequent series repeated the same gags (and I realise that was part of the joke.)

Fawlty Towers, Green Wing, like F.T. only 12 episodes, and Red Dwarf.

Green Wing? I thought that was C4. But never watched it, so I'm probably getting it mixed up with something else.

1. OF&H
2. Red Dwarf
3. Blackadder
Honorable mention for heth heth heth heth, Chris Waddle. Erm, The Fast Show. Many, many others, but nothing new from the last 10-15 years.

Sorry Shade, completely missed the BBC bit; I'll put Bottom in it's place.

Partridge was always a bit hit and miss for me. For every funny bit there would be 3 or 4 minutes of unfunny cringeworthy stuff. I don't generally like comedy based on awkward situations. Not when it happens over and over, anyway.

Maybe because it's poor.

Keeping up appearances is deemed as a BBC classic, not there I don't think.
