Finally - seven years too late

The USA undertakes missile strikes against Syria.

Just a shame the Russians are involved now, ISIS have grown, and millions have died or fled to Europe. All could have been avoided had our MPs done the right thing in 2010.

I have some sympathy with Parliament on this one, coming so soon after being bitten by the decision to go into Iraq.

All hell is going to break loose if Trump fires on North Korea (or backs the South doing the same) without Chinese involvement and approval, though. It's a good job POTUS is such an intelligent and shrewd diplomat and negotiator. Oh...

Russian's are still playing Trump like a fiddle. Be interesting to see what they do next, or if the US can gain the upperhand. Our boys in Benhall will be earning their corn, that's for sure.

Biggest dilemma is now for Mal. His hopes of a threesome with Trump and Assad have been dashed. Which of his heroes will he ditch, and which will he get into bed with?

Re: MPs. No sympathy from me. If they feared being bitten it shows they were cowards, or more concerned about keeping their jobs rather than doing the right thing. Neither trait is suitable for political leaders.

Also about time the UN security council set up is revisited. Nothing will ever get done as Russia and China will veto what they don't like and USA will veto what it doesn't like. UN is totally powerless, they should restrict themselves to delivering food aid. They can just about do that

A bomb on Assad is a victory for ISIS.

Not when they get bombed to shizzle as well.

Mal is sounding like Jeremy Corbyn, albeit a version that supports gassing the few innocent families who have not yet fled Syria.

Tim Farron has come out and said he regrets not voting to get rid of Assad back before ISIS existed. Failure to act then caused ISIS. People like Malabus have caused ISIS. Time to ignore the likes of Mal, and let those who want to stand up for freedom against tyranny rid the world of ISIS and oppressive dictators.

More interestingly than discussing discredited views, anyone know where the two US Navy ships happened to pop out from? Were they with our chaps in Cyprus or do the USN have their own base in the East Med?

Time to ignore you; there is no credible evidence that chemicals were used and that Syrian armed forces used them.

I presumed you believed the WMD debacle too, because that's where we are heading, another Iraq scenario.

Wonder what else Tim Farron will be apologising for in hindsight. Get him a plastic bag so he can carry his spine home

RCS, I believe they have the ability to not only float but to move around as well, for considerable amounts of time

LOL NO EVIDENCE LOL. Must be a wind up. Not even Mal could believe that! Or has his account been hacked by a Russian misinformation warfare bot?

As for Iraq: the only lesson is not to bow to pacifist public opinion by pulling out too soon and instead keep boots on the ground until the job is done. Had we been in command in Iraq ISIS would never have captured half the country. End of the day, Assad is still gassing people, Saddam ain't.

When we finally join the liberation forces and get rid of Assad and ISIS we need to be in there for 20 years to help rebuild infrastructure and institutions and make sure there is no vacuum to be filled by terrorists - as was the result of abandoning Iraq too soon.

Certainly would do my bit to rebuild Syria. A beautiful country before shirkers like Mal let Assad and ISIS destroy it. Be an honour to be there rebuilding it to be even better.

Malabus mate, no one on here cares about your nut job crazy bullshizzle 'news' sites.

"We did not use these kind of weapons, we don't have them, even if we did we wouldn't use them" - Bashar-al Assad

A credible comment IMO.
