Greggs replace a Jewish Prophet depicted in a Muslim country with a sausage roll and it upset Christians.

Got to laugh!

It is a strange world to live in, that just because you do not adhere to someone else’s religious belief. That you find humour in them feeling ‘hurt’ by what they perceive to be ‘wrong’. Surely you should have a mature enough outlook, to at least understand their position, without accepting it or ‘laughing’ about it ? you seem top wax lyrical about LGBT rights etc, but yet don’t allow the Christian population to object ?

So if I recap correctly, it is not OK to annoy a gay couple by not putting a same sex message on a cake. However, it is OK to annoy a Christian person, by substituting the figure of Jesus in a Christmas nativity scene, with a sausage? Hmmmmmm

Guess we should all be relieved it was not Mohammed being replaced by a sausage, or else that would have been the end of Greggs. Makes you wonder what boardroom meeting took place and it was thought it was a good idea……

If you spell 'Jesus' backwards, you get 'Susej'. Maybe Greggs are cleverer than we thought...

On a much more serious note, continued tragic news of the killing and displacing of Christians in Egypt and across the Arab world.

I suggest energy and outrage is focused on raising funds and campaigning the government to intervene to help these Christians rather than a tacky advert for a cheap pasty shop.
