Ebb and flow in this match. I can see Australia getting a lead of 100 or so from this position.

I'll go the other way, at least one of the two at the crease to go in the first 15 minutes tonight. Smith will carry his bat but the rest will fall cheaply, Aus 250ao. England will then slump to 180ao, and Aus will end up 20 or so short, 210ao.

Yeah. A shame - statistically and demonstrably England's best batsmen for the last ten years but just not delivering. Suspect he will retire after this tour and Lyon can celebrate another career ended.

Only positive is Gloucestershire opener last season Cameron Bancroft hitting the winning knock of course. If anything it will show the England selectors there are good players in Div 2 and outside of the golden counties who they exclusively pick from.
