Another whacko government introducing policy based on ideology and conspiracy rather than scientific consensus and evidence.

It requires a subscription to read.
However don't all governments use the same approach of ideology and conspiracy. This is how they try to stay in power.

True but the sheer disregard of human knowledge and evidence in what are supposed to be enlightened nations appears to me to be growing trend.
