Would be a cracking signing, wages could be a stumbling block though.I-Love-CTFC wrote:Donny have made Andy Williams available for transfer. Played under Gary Johnson at Yeovil and he was in our youth team. Definitely worth a look.

Go get him Gary!I-Love-CTFC wrote:Jimmy Spencer has been released by Plymouth.
He really worked hard for the team when here last time. Got the work rate and fitness Gary demands.

Jimmy Spencer, Dan Holman and Danny Wright would give some good options but he did break his ankle and dislocate it before Christmas.

Hope to see Jimmy Sign.
His direct play and aggression will open up space for Holman to prey in.
Holman has started looking sharp but generally has to beat two or three players himself to make space for a shot. Get Jimmy to take a few out using pace and power, with Billy stretching them as well and Holman will get 20+ goals.
End the long central balls and slow play outside the D. Ping it down the channels. Billy one side, Jimmy the other. Holman and a rampaging Pell in the box.

Really rated Jimmy Spencer, his first touch was always amazing, could pluck a goal kick out the sky with a deft touch which always bought him a bit of time.

Bit injury prone for my liking. Also is he a true goalscorer or one of the "workhorse" strikers that puts a shift in so someone else can bang them all in?

Who cares as long as someone bangs them in. That's what we need.Rulistening wrote:Bit injury prone for my liking. Also is he a true goalscorer or one of the "workhorse" strikers that puts a shift in so someone else can bang them all in?

He was playing at the end of the season so if he is over his injury I would love to see him back.

I think Jimmy would do well for you, he didn't score many for us, but we were using him more as a target man. As for Ryan Donaldson I think he'd do better moving to the National League. He struggled to make any sort of impact at all last season (and the one before at Cambridge).

Out of the players suggested by fans, i'd say only a handful of these would be realistic signings.

Another signing for Mansfield. Paul Anderson from Northampton. That's a cracking signing.

Right back Mark Little has been released by Bristol City. Doubt he'd drop down to this level but maybe Lee could put in a good word.

Can't fault him for staying in L1. I hope Gary at least gave him a call to sound him out.
