Sky Sports assessment:
Cheltenham: Flatt (5), Grimes (6), Cranston (7), Storer (7), Atangana (6), Pell (7), Wright (6), Winchester (6), Boyle (6), Eisa (7), Foster (6)
Subs: Dawson (6), Graham (6), Holman (6)
West Ham: Adrian (6), Byram (6), Ogbonna (7), Collins (8), Masuaka (6), Noble (7), Rice (7), Obiang (7), Fernandes (7), Ayew (7), Sakho (7)
Subs: Hernandez (6), Kouyate (6), Quina (6)
Man of the match: James Collins
Personally, I think Fernandes and Obiang were more like 6 and Sakho only edges a 7 due to his goal. Then from our perspective, Atangana was a 7 for me and Stoz a 6. I'd also have Cranston or Atangana as MOTM from a CTFC perspective and agree with Collins from a West Ham perspective.

Yup, missed Phillips' solo runs and goals too. Would have been 4-0 had we had those two titans playing.Ben2 wrote:I'd agree with the above but give Phillips an 8 and manny 10. Manny would deffo have got a brace at least last night

Wondered that myself, as I assume that was the trigger for the sub. Hopefully he's ok.Nesty wrote:was Boyle injured ? if so how bad ?

Thought it was tactical myself.Circa 1887 wrote:Wondered that myself, as I assume that was the trigger for the sub. Hopefully he's ok.Nesty wrote:was Boyle injured ? if so how bad ?
Wanted to get Forster in the middle and Dawson wide left so Boyle had to make way.
Squad game.

Ah ok, didn't spot that. Still, got Forster into the centre and Dawson important game time so worked out well.DingDing wrote:Boyle went down when Winchester was getting treatment first half, prior to West Ham scoring. He didn't look comfortable for the rest of the half, so i'd assume he was injured yes.

The above would be mind, I'd give Foster a 7 for the second half where he was a lot more comfortable at centre back than full back (a position he seems uncomfortable playing). Big Nige my Motm closely followed by Cranston and Eisa.

Who is Foster?
Marks are irrelevant considering the opposition. A * to everyone

Not the only one, at least me and one other thought he should have and may well have got a toe on it.Shade wrote:Am I the only one that thought Grimes should have at least tried to slide and get the ball as it went in for the second goal? Other than that he was very good.

Agree, I thought he was very good.CTFC03 wrote:How they've marked Atangana below an 8 is beyond me, he was all over it.

Maybe by his own standards he was an 8; i.e. he has played better, so on his personal 1-10 scale he was only an 8. To get a 10 a player surely has to put in their best (or joint best) ever performance, and in his own post-match interview he said he thought he had and could play better.CTFC03 wrote:How they've marked Atangana below an 8 is beyond me, he was all over it.
