Will be a decent move for Stoz I feel, he's not quite football league standard but will be remembered for his part in winning the conference. I just hope Solihull can afford his wages and can take him permanently rather than a loan with us propping them up.

Shame for him to drop so low if it happens - he could still do a good job at a higher placed Conference side as the Moors do look doomed. I suppose the Brum factor is appealing.

Teams above them though are Barrow, Orient and Eastleigh, all of whom are sides who should be higher up the league than they are.Shade wrote:Yatesy has taken them from bottom to 4th bottom, but there is a big gap to the next team. Signings like Stoz should see them easily claw back the gap though as they're already getting much better results.

Yeah, teething trouble at the start of his league career and never quite got a fair bite at the cherry follow that.longmover wrote:Shame, that eight match game ban ruined his chance at this level, never was the same coming back and treading on egg shells after red cards.

We will lose the good clubman if Storer.Wright and Pell go.

He seems to have one good game in ten. For the size of him he should be winning a lot more headers both in midfield and defence. The excuse for no dynamic surges last year was a muddy pitch. But now on a good pitch, we seldom see him as a defence questions. Like all the team he needs to nuckle down and get some consistency

Worth bearing in mind Pell's role has been a little different this season.
Last season Storer sat as holding midfielder allowing Pell to rampage forward and get into the box.
This season Pell has often been the sitting midfielder whilst Morrell or whoever goes forward. Plus he has been played out of position out wide or up front.
For Pell to get back to full rampage mode we need a fit Atangana to be holding midfielder, or a replacement for Storer if he goes. If not then Pell will have to do that role, nullifying his threat but allowing Winchester or whoever to attack.

I am sure we are interested in signing all sorts of players from higher leagues, but irrelevant if they are not willing or available to move. Always think "buying club would like X player" to be non-stories. Did JP phone Yates and ask if he would be interested in Wright? Yates is hardly going to say no is he. The more useful news would be that DW is listed or GJ had said he can leave.
