Glad this has been done quickly like everything at the club at the moment there is real positive momentum which I hope we can ride for some time.

Some money is better than no money though I can’t help but be a bit disappointed after AW bigged up his ability to get a decent ground sponsor.

The net book value of Jonny Rocks assets is £36,577 and in the year 2017-18 they owe creditors £23,445.

Trading deficit of £5,446 for the year 2016-17, leaving reserves of -£5,585.

Either 2017-18 has been a lot better or we can assume they aren’t paying much more for the ground than they were a hoarding.

the article mentions Jeff Stelling, he will be sure to come up with an apt pun as he has with Eisa and George Lloyd (knew my father)

Jonny Rocks has certainly come a long way, from taking me and my mates home at 3am, telling us...interesting...stories about his nights work to sponsoring a football league stadium.

Could be a lot worse... Remember the Kit Kat Stadium...?

Actually, what am I thinking? You need to go an awful long way to beat The World of Smile Stadium...

Fair play to the club for being a bit-tongue-cheek about it too. Guess they wouldn't have got away with being too serious about it but even so, hats off.

Accrington's three year deal with WHAM is worth £200k. Though that is combined ground and shirt sponsorship and is complicated by the fact that the sponsor is also their famously benevolent owner.

Peterborough flogged their naming rights for a reported £500k over multiple seasons. The going rate for a (non-big 6) Premier League stadium sponsorship for a season is reckoned to be around £1.5m.

On that basis, I'd reckon somewhere between £20-40k would be about right for a season of sponsorship of WR.

See my info provided above. The company on the face of it is not flush with cash so probably not much more than the hoarding they had.

Who cares how much it is........it's income we wouldn't have without Finner's sterling efforts.
Cheers Finners and supporting cast.

Do I hear a Crowdfunder klaxon? Raise £50k so that the fans can call the ground The Victory Sports Ground for a season.

Maybe a Crowdfunder to name the ground ‘Whaddon Road’.
