Sounds like 4-4-2 working well so far. Put the Essex bean pole to the sword!

Much much improved performance. Thomas should be starting on the weekend.

And Broom?

Notable that not playing the two stoppers in midfield adds more dynamism. Forster getting back in shape. Hussey still to come back.

2-0! Dare we dream?

Next round is regionalised, so Fulham or Wolves please!

I'd gladly take any of Wolves, Blues, Villa or Cardiff away if the draw is regionalised.

Johnson has got to go sooner rather than later.

Not fancying us on penalties to be honest and I quite fancied a decent away day in the next round two.

Get in! Did it the hard way.

I will be the first to say it...those who paid £21 tonight for the best value to be had in many a home game!

Regionalised but not seeded.

Meh so we could get a trash draw like FGR, Oxford, Bristol Rovers or Walsall in that case. Just want a decent away day or really big club here on TV.

1,179 (132 Colchester) the attendance.

Poor, but how does it compare to previous first round games we have had at home?

It's safe to say that's the lowest we've ever had, I think we had around 2000 last time we were at home vs Charlton two years ago.

I know a few have lost faith but GJ is a total professional. A good interview - great result. Onward and upwards.. PLEASE

Quite. With so many new faces in the squad, it's inevitable that it'll take time for the players to gel. Last night's victory will hopefully help that process, as well as inject a bit of badly-needed confidence. Pleased to see Forster back in the team.
