I think Duff will get the best out the defensive and attacking players.
Young defenders will be inspired by how he rose from Cheltenham youth to Premier League and international teams.
Older defenders will see him as a role model for keeping fit and playing at the highest level you can in your later years.
We have all seen the photos of Duff tackling Harry Kane, Alexis Sanchez and other global stars so he can pass on insight on what the very best strikers do to our strikers.
And this isn’t just in the class room or from the sidelines. It wasn’t that long ago he was playing at the elite level, the top 1% in terms of fitness etc. He will still be in good enough shape to get stuck and demonstrate the techniques on the training pitch.
He can get Mooney or Duku for example, tell them that Kane couldn’t roll or turn him so see if they can, with no risk of injuring a dodgy knee or a belly getting in the way.
Duff to be announced tomorrow

Need some T-shirts printing for expectant mother fans:
“Up The Duff”
Some people might get the innuendo - after a pregnant pause?

According to Sky, Duff has been offered the job, but nothing about him accepting it... http://www.skysports.com/football/news/ ... nagers-job" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Absolutely no way this would have leaked out via the media if he hadn’t accepted the job.
There’s probably a load of stuff being sorted out as we speak. Speaking to Russ and the back room team to sort out whether they’re staying or going.

Also JP has confirmed but the club hasn’t? (Unless Iv missed it)
This is the whole thing, if you read back five or six posts. The club haven't announced anything yet despite him supposedly being announced today.

Let’s hope this article doesn’t turn out to be scarily prescient:

I was hoping things would change but seems they haven't, Surely their must be someone at the club that must be thinking there are around 2200 people who may just want some sort of update on this scenario.Horteng wrote:The lack of communication from the club is an absolute disgrace
Zero respect for the paying fans
We'll wait for the apologies and excuses blah blah blah

YES THEY CAN.Robin wrote:I've heard the problem is on the Burnley end not here so club cannot say too much.
They can tell us the following:
a) they have done interviews.
b) that they have a preferred candidate.
c) that they are finalising terms and practicalities.
We are not complaining that they haven’t announced Duff. We are complaining that they have not communicated any updates at all. It is basic business activity to provide simple communications.
