My grandad has been a fan of breathing for 98 years, not a dicky bird in the press.

My dad took me to my first match in 1963 I was 10 then, seen a lot of good days and a lot of bad ones to but still come back,
I started back in 1993 when my Dad and cousin took me. One game I was hooked. My second ever game was away at meadow park.we went from 1 down to win 2-1.
The atmosphere was incredible. Anyone that witnessed the rise following that is lucky. I feel sorry for kids coming to WR these days it isnt what it was back then. Nothing we do now will ever beat those early seasons for me.

My first game was a Northern Senior Cup tie at Whaddon Road which we got a late equaliser to take you to extra time and won the match with a Ricky Murphy winner, I think it ended up 4-3.
I remember the game well, it was a Monday I was about 14, caught the bus over and back first away game and got served in a pub for the first time!
