“Dale Vince, the multi-millionaire founder of Ecotricity, tried to explain why the charging network let me down so badly.

He pointed out that his company has been running a loss on its Electric Highway — the network of charging stations on motorways — ever since it started in 2011. As a result, it has had to scale back its support services so it can afford to keep the chargers going.

In consequence, the helpline for stranded drivers no longer operates 24/7, and the company doesn’t rush to fix broken chargers.”

In these days when any business has to be customer centric. A very odd way to run a business

Sounds like he has got bored of a loss-making strand of the business and has given up on it, with no regard for customers. Doesn’t bode well for the football strand of the business.

The idiot is time wasting and "taking legal action" for a bit of publicity again:

Feels like the whole thing with PB, trying to get someone in trouble over nothing. Just afraid that the government initiative might harm his "profits" in the long run.
The flags are similar but they're not the same.

Extremists like Vince undermine their own cause.

Take fracking. If he was generally interested in a transition to a low carbon economy he may have said something like “Ecotricity welcome the role of fracking in meeting the UK’s short-term energy needs with a local source which is more environmentally friendly than coal or oil, and we would be pleased to work with Cuadrilla to provide renewable energy for their operations and help them keep electric fleet vehicles charged with renewable power.”

Such a direction would help build consensus from policy makers and business. Instead, his hardline extremist approach just creates conflict and the different parties retreat behind party lines, creating policy inertia and lack of action to solve the very issue he is extreme about. Suggests to me he is more interested in market share and reducing competition than he is in a low carbon future.

And more interested in political agitation as well. Won’t be long until he is parachuted in as a Corbyn candidate in some unlucky constituency.
