Just seen the FA Youth Cup draw (first round), and we are away to Forest Green
Should be played before 3 November, but with us playing Arsenal in the silly cup on 30 October, one wonders if it gets delayed to the 6th November?

How does their youth set up compare to ours?
Both have teams in the U18 FL Youth Alliance, South West.
Both have three wins and four defeats to date
FGR are higher in the table as they have four draws, to Cheltenham's three.
One of the draws was Cheltenham's home game against FGR

Worrying if their academy gets better than ours as that has been a good income source for us.
Has it?
I have never been able to confirm whether or not it is a profit centre.
So please provide figures for
Cost of Operations
Grant income
Other income
Transfer income
....and I will accept your point

I didn’t say profit, just income. Edge, Thomas, Dufus or whatever his name was. Widely reported as five figure sales or more. Combined more income than the Pell sale, maybe as much as Odejayi.leohoenig wrote:Has it?

But as you’re so clever, why would a bigger income be better than a bigger profit?RegencyCheltenhamSpa wrote:I didn’t say profit, just income. Edge, Thomas, Dufus or whatever his name was. But that makes no difference to my point: even if the academy runs at a loss, if FGR start attracting players and selling them to Arsenal, rather than us doing so, that will mean we make an even bigger loss.
My assumption is the Academy is financially viable, otherwise why would the Club keep it operating?
I am sure Leo can ask his questions of someone who knows that information at the Chairman Q&A coming up.
