Think we're destined to get Southend away :-)

Home vs Cobblers or Gas would be good.

If we were able to get to the final and played Sunderland, I wonder my how many multiples our support would be outnumbered by!

Or Peterborough...away.

Away at either of the U21s left in would be great.
Failing that, any home draw, please.

Home against anybody is preferred imo. Imagine going to Wembley in the Checktrade in front of a crowd of 2000...

Why Peterborough away, that's one of the toughest draws in my opinion! We went Bristol Rovers, Northampton or any of the U-21 sides at home surely. The U-21 sides I understand are always drawn away.

I think that's what Artemis meant... Southend or Posh away are what our luck leads to...

Not sure that is right Robin ; Newcastle under 21s were at home at SJP to Macclesfield this week ?

I thought all U-21 teams were mandatory away but that may have changed then or only apply to the group stages.

Yes, they're only mandatory away during the group stage.

Draw underway.

Sunderland vs Newcastle U21 in the Northern section could be a good one.

Oxford or Spurs U21.

At home so could be another reasonable 1,000+ gate.

Bring it on!

Nice. Home was the important thing. Pointless getting an away tie in this comp as there's no gate receipt money to make.

Not home, an away draw. Apparently the draw was a farce - which is indicative of the whole competition

Let’s be honest, the format is an absolute farce

So which is it,home or away? Absolutely nothing on official club site, so they obviously couldn't give a shite if we know or not.

The official website of the competition says a home draw: https://www.efl.com/news/2018/december/ ... confirmed/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The official CTFC Twitter states it is a home game at WR, as does JP/Echo etc: https://mobile.twitter.com/CTFCofficial ... 3945922560" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Alright paperboy, cool your jets! Chillax good man

I must admit to having had a funny five on this. I am absolutely convinced I read an article on the Glos Live site saying the draw was "a farce" and we were actually away not at home, there were multiple errors in the draw. Also that the draw was held in China. But being as I was in bed most of yesterday sleeping off flu-like symptoms I must have (literally!) dreamt it.

Thats a bit scary...unless someone can verify there was such a report?

Hahahahahahaha, I'm finally settling in to this site properly. Delusional posts ahoy! :lol:

That was the Carabao Cup, when the draw was in Thailand where Carabao is based. There are incidents every season with the draw in that competition. Here is one farce involving us last year: https://www.gloucestershirelive.co.uk/s ... cup-117403" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There was no incident or confusion or farce involved in the EFL Trophy Draw yesterday. A slight delay due to Sky Sports but the draw was smooth and straight forward. Hopefully we are in the next draw as well.

So you aren’t deluded, just mixing things up.

Ah yes, there was a link to that old draw on the page yesterday.

Not delusional just wrong, there’s a first time for everything I suppose....

Not your fault the Echo site was showing a headline for a story from 2017.

Well the Daily Express still runs stories from August 1997, so they're in good company.

Lol, we were joking in the office just this week that after two years of Brexit front pages the Express must have a whole stack of Diana and Madeleine splashes they are desperate to get published once political news subsides.

Oxford best Spurs kids. A winnable game for us to get a round closer to Wembley.
