Should be in the starting eleven, he's much better than Forster.

He's our best defender in my opinion and despite what some say I don't believe Forster is bad either (average league two brute defender).

Mullins was the best player by far at the start of the season but hasn’t really had a look in since Duff came in. Personality clash maybe?

Initially yes. But he hasn’t been injured the whole time surely? He’s had some minutes, they just haven’t been consistent

This is definitely a question for the press boys on Thursday. Surely Mullins is a better bet than Forster

Not too difficult to see how a ‘falling out’ could occur.

As Duff is a CB he will no doubt focus on developing our defenders and trying to teach them new things. Mullins on the other hand may, quite rightly, feel that he is pretty much too late in his career to change the way he plays and was signed not just for his experience but for his ability to bring the younger lads on. So easy to see why Duff prefers players like Boyle and Forster who he can mould more easily.

Up front we have Varney being the experienced leader. Mullins could do this at the back but I think Duff wants to lead on that role. Hence no place for Mullins as it could lead to Boyle etc being given conflicting advice.

Duff stated in an interview that Mullins ankle was not right.

No, no, no - this is the Robins Nest. If someone isn't playing it's either frozen out, fallen out or shut out.

Sorry guys it’s even simpler - he’s not as good as Forster ;)
