Seems the police are intent on stifling the move back to meadow park, they have issues with public safety in an area that previously held football matches for said club.

How hard can it be to design it properly.

What some may have missed is Gloucester are changing their shirt colours next season. To red with yellow stripes. And changing the badge.

chatting to a city fan at work, evidently they only ever played in yellow due to a sponsorship deal and prior played in red and black

Gloucester City’s new badge. Featuring the City crest. The same colours as the Northumberland (and Valencia) flag of course.

Check this thread out on the COF.

Neil shamefully treated by the Club and other decent fans, including Shandy, are rightly angry about it. Whoever Ray Tango is seems to be auditioning to be Trump’s next White House press secretary.

The olive branch of the RNF is always available. KG3 came and asked and it was given. Shandy, Neil etc certainly would be welcomed like KG3 was if they posted their concerns on here I am sure. But I am not sure they want our sympathy and support!

Way to talk to the only Cheltenham fan who tried to instigate a fundraising effort by CTFC gams to help you move back to Gloucester. No wonder you ended up in Evesham if this is how you respond to those who show you the most support.

Sam please don't kid yourself.

There are many many Cheltenham gams more supportive or should I say more respectful to our club than you are. One might even say that its no wonder that we ended up at Evesham because of those who showed the ground share least support, or most opposition, of which you were particularly active, so this is how I respond.

You talk about missing the Shire, then refer to its County town as if is Hades. You spout socialist values then take the p!## out of Gloucester for being a bit poorer than Cheltenham. You offer to wave a bucket under a few noses and paint yourself as a messiah. You are a man of contradictions, of deep seated prejudices, which you self-deny through a smattering of GCSEs and Guardian headlines.

The nonsense you espouse is why I offered you the 'gagging deal' at the New Year to give us all a bit ore peace. I have kept to my part of the bargain and more, while I notice you are exceeding your quota, and unsurprisingly over-reaching yourself.

Pipe down sunshine.

When have I ever denigrated our county town? I bloody love the docks, Cathedral and other Roman and Medieval areas. Much underestimated.

You may call it socialist but I operate on a vertical political scale, not a horizontal left or right. The vertical scale being a measure of to what extent people and the economy benefit from a policy, regardless of the politics or ideology of that policy.

Such a politically neutral but economy and society optimising outlook may seem contradictory to those confined to the political left, centre or right but there is nothing contradictory about consistently basing policy on evidence.

In this evidence and outcome based mindset I was against the ground share as it was suboptimal with negative outcomes for both sides. For CTFC it led to declining match quality and declining crowds, and for GCFC it was like a drug; cheap enough to keep you hooked but too expensive for you to save up for your own place. The longer it went on the more we relied on the money to make up for falling crowds and the less pressure it put on your owner to invest in the new city ground. It is no surprise that since the ground share ended our home form and support has picked up at the same time you guys are finally making real progress to moving back to the city. I doubt either would have happened if we still both stagnating with the ground share. It was with the interest of both sides I was keen for it to end.

You know I know you know I read the Guardian as much as the FT, Economist and the The Times (plus my daily dose of Bloomberg and McKinsey reports at work) so I am disappointed you resort to such a sadly debunked cliche.

I won’t rise to the GCSE comment, even though as you know it is the most cutting and offensive remark in your tirade.

Re the quota. The only number which counts is post count at year end.

Such as I've been mildly furious, I have only managed 38 winks last night. But having got up in the warm light of morning, I have had an epiphany, like St Paul on the road to Domestos, and I now realise that you are the force behind our move back to Gloucester, so let me thank you for all your efforts.

Back on topic, I think the badge and colours issue shows how much these things mean to fans and that those who are ultimately in charge of those decisions shouldn't take anything or anyone for granted. Personally I wish the club's focus to be on a weekend that I believe will define whether or not we stay up, followed by the ground significantly under way by the time we start next season, followed by work to bring the club management and fans closer together. I think the third will flow from the first two.

One day, probably in retirement, I am going to right a 'comedy' albeit based on my working life. I will however find a walk on slot for RCS, although I'm not sure his character will believable. He could perhaps be the guy operating the 11am trolley service, coming through the office imparting his knowledge but never able to leave as he has to correct or expand on every response to his gift of knowledge, on subjects ranging from aardvarks to zyklon B. While I have lined up Brad Pitt to play my part, I am intending to approach that young lad Michaels from the Gogglebox to play the Great Pontificator.

Right, I'm off to find some bacon.

It took me a while to find some, but in the end I didn't need to. It was City that brought home the bacon. Tick one - survival achieved.

Also, the realisation that to become a successful righter I need to get my right and writes write.

Trepeditiously await a barrage of 'f#!$ yous' from the 'Nouveau Geordie' :)
