Good line-up, no massive surprises. And decent back-up on the bench now.

Yeah, happy with the team. Lloyd off the bench to run them into the ground for the last 20 mins.

Referee giving free kicks for any sort of contact. Need to wise up and start throwing ourselves down like the Carlisle players

Goodwin off injured in 5th minute. Lloyd on.

Meanwhile, Leyton Orient 3-0 down at Bolton inside 9 minutes  What might have been…..

Hilarious from the Carlisle commentary duo.

"if we sign 7 new players in January we'll still need to play 4 of this lot"

It is bloody windy, getting stronger and firmly with Carlisle in the 2nd half, but at least we have a decent keeper... Holy's s#!t :D

Really need to be working the keeper more when we get the chance, we seem to always want to take an extra pass

Well, if ever a term dogging it out is used thats a great example today.
Managers certainly made us competitive !!!!!

Would like to see another forward come in in Jan, but great to see the fight and what it means to them. Love it.

Tame those Shrews boys.

Great win. Three points from safety with a better goal difference.

We needed that win today. I just hope the injured players are ok for Tuesday now because we are very low on numbers with Bevan injured and Chapman/Peupion gone.

Anyway well done to all of them and the fans who travelled, you've given us hope we can do this.

Yes, wish the travelling fans an enjoyable trip home.

Goodwin looking like he'll be out for 2 or 3 weeks so let's hope Streety is not too bad.

I think Street will be fine. Maybe a bit of cramp, maybe a bit of time wasting as he knew he was coming off anyway.

Over the moon. If we didn't have so much bad luck v Orient last week we would be out of the bottom 4 tonight!

Three points. Beautiful. Everyone and their dog should be at Whaddon Road on Boxing Day. Mental to think we could be out of the bottom four come 1700 if we get 3 pts. Thank you DC and his assistant.

Another goal for Sercombe. Getting him pushed up more is certainly working. Is that two winners he has scored now?

When Sercombe scores, we win.

Not the most important aspect of the day, but I'd never noticed before how similar the main stand at Carlisle is to ours. Except they've added two wings either side to extend it the full length of the pitch.

A few people on here have raised the possibility of adding seating either side of the current main stand as an alternative, or temporary measure, to a completely new one. Well, here's a real life example of a club that's done it.

Just back, boy that was cold and incredibly windy. Interesting selection from DC to put Smith in at CH and Long at RWB, like the whole team both were excellent and gave everything! Bit surprised Smith lasted 90 only having returned from injury last week.
Hoping Davies and Street will make Boxing Day. Thought Lloydy was very good when he came on.

Great team effort and great 3pts.

Maybe that was part of the reason with Smith as he might not have made 90 mins at RWB or maybe just needed some more pace centrally. Either way worked really well

Bradbury also did well, Ferry excellent too

Still don’t understand why Williams started left side defence instead of Bradbury last week. If he had we might well be three points better off now.

Bradbury stronger, but Williams more mobile and had done well there before

Hindsight is wonderful.

Williams has been good recently and had a rush of blood moment last week. Good to have options.

Agree don't see how we can start Bradbury and Davies in defence together as both lack pace but are good in the air.

I agree with Fuller. Pleased to see Long at rwb. He struggles in the middle as he did against the O's. The Manager got it right with Smith yesterday. A good recruitment by Russell.

DC obviously thinks 3 seasons of Long playing out of position as a stand-in centre back is 3 seasons too many. Good. It was bad enough in L2 and why Duff and Wade insisted on doing it in L1 was baffling.

Good commentary by the two Pauls on Radio Glos.
