NOM NOM.
I was hoping he'd save it for a game against a team I didn't like but oh well.

More Suarez fun!
More Suarez fun!
He's got to get the full 2 year ban from FIFA, opponents shouldn't have to keep going out to play against him wondering whether or not they're going to get rabies by full time. The fact he's tried to blame Chielini for elbowing him should only incense FIFA to make the punishment as harsh as possible. He's a cheat, an animal and one of the biggest mugs on the planet right now, given how he reacted to the English media last week.

What sort of punishment are we expecting him to get then and does this also apply to club football? Apparently the longest ban issued by FIFA is eight matches but you would imagine he will get longer, maybe a 3-6 month ban from all football.
On the flipside there have been a lot of rumours that he was close to a move to Madrid/Barca but they would be mad to pay £60 million for him if he's going to be banned for a relatively long period. My only question then is do Liverpool still have to pay his wages during this period or do the Uruguay FA pick up the costs?

Do you really think an organisation as corrupt as FIFA will look to appease the clamour for action, coming out of Europe ????? Fully expect him to be on the pitch for the next match and for as far as Uruguay go in the competition
FIFA have got to take his previous disciplinary record into account, racism and 2 other bites. If he gets less than a year ban what kind of example is that to all the kids watching around the world, which is what they always bang on about.

You would have thought they would have held out to see if he is guilty firstlittle mo wrote:Online betting site Betsson offered odds of 175/1 for Suarez to bite someone at the world cup. They have already paid out to 167 punters. A total of £44,000.

Witch hunt nonsense only coming from Uruguayan press/FA.Robin wrote:I don't believe we will see the sort of bans being talked about as it's already being labelled as an English media witch hunt however I do expect as a minimum him to miss the rest of the world cup.

However, it is exactly the same when the Times allegations came out. BBC news banners reporting that many people are now calling for a full investigation...... then those many people all turned out to be from England. I just believe, rightly or wrongly, that noise from Europe hold less sway with FIFA than silence from anywhere elseRegencyCheltenhamSpa wrote:Witch hunt nonsense only coming from Uruguayan press/FA.Robin wrote:I don't believe we will see the sort of bans being talked about as it's already being labelled as an English media witch hunt however I do expect as a minimum him to miss the rest of the world cup.

I do agree. FIFA are a corrupt laughing stock.
The bite has been roundly condemned across Europe, not just UK. Belgium's Het Laatste Nieuws rsefer to "The Tooth of God". In the Netherlands, he is dismissed as "Again, the Canibal" (Telegraaf) Austria's Kronen Zeitung refers to too much bite from the Vampire, while El Observador refers to "The alleged bite" - but then that is Uruguayan. But .... will the noise from Europe amount to anything more than "equal to a red card, pone match ban" ? OR appeal date set for August LOLleohoenig wrote:The bite has been roundly condemned across Europe, not just UK. Belgium's Het Laatste Nieuws rsefer to "The Tooth of God". Can't see it being a major impact on most of Europe if he is banned from xx international matches.trickster wrote:The whole world was watching they've got to be seen doing the right thing a lengthy ban is inevitable.
When he returns they should make him wear a muzzle, there are reports Munchester United are after him..

After his little break perhaps he will return hungrier and be chomping at the bit to put some bite into his game
