CTFC have got 35 points from 16 away games (2.19 ppg) , 34 from 15 home (2.27ppg) = 69 points from 31 - so our record home and away are very similar
FGR have 43 points from 17 home (2.53ppg) , and 25 from 15 away (1.67ppg) (68 points from 32) - so very much a "home" team
Grimsby 21 points from 13 away games (1.62ppg) , 34 from 16 home (2.13) (55 from 29) -

Your stats show Grimsby being worst on the road.
They will need to beat both of us and still hope we drop points elsewhere not to mention probably go the the rest of the season undefeated in order to match or better our form. It's one of them unlikely scenarios but one we cannot rule out at this stage.
Likewise FGR are in great form only a point behind us and they are showing fantastic spirit in their team to keep scoring late goals however with our game in hand and more favourable run in we are favourites to win it.

I made the same calculation as you Nesty and used it to predict final points totals assuming continuation of those points per game ratios:
Cheltenham 102
FGR 96
Grimsby 86
However our friends at Football Webpages predict:
Cheltenham 112
FGR 93
Grimsby 90
Cheltenham 102

The good thing at the minute is that as it stands if our results stay the same Grimsby will have to go to FGR and be forced to take the game to them as they will need to win as will FGR, which could make for a very interesting match but there are quite a lot of fixtures this month so anything can happen yet.
Another thing going against Grimsby is that, as they're still in the Trophy, they'll be playing Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday for about the next 5 weeks. With so many games in a short space of time and being 14 points behind us, they'd do very well to overtake us. The most Grimsby can get is 106 points, so even if they only drop 10 more we'd only need 28 from 15 - 8 wins, 4 draws, 3 defeats - to finish above them. Really do think it's a two horse race now, barring a serious collapse.
According to wikipedia, the highest number of points a team has got in this division is 105. Fewest defeats is 3.Coops wrote:I made the same calculation as you Nesty and used it to predict final points totals assuming continuation of those points per game ratios:

We are still realistically on course to at least match those 2 records.

Be great to beat both of those records.
