Does this make sense for the FA though?
It secures some short term funding - which they are promising to grass roots. See any twitter thread on the subject to realise how much traction the promise holds.
Wembley is a profitable enterprise. There is still a debt mountain from its building, but it is being paid from the profits.
By not selling today, the FA have a greater income tomorrow. That adds up in my book
