CTFC vs Walsall Home Saturday 11th January 2020
A eminently forgettable first half, apart from a superb cross across field, trapped and used effectively but no goal, and the Sheaf goal of course. Looked like a collection of misfits trying to decipher where they belonged; but deservedly up at half-time. Still of a nervous disposition when we play little passes out of defence and across the box. We have and will come adrift again as a result of that soon. Second half far better, but we rather flattered to deceive. Campbell still gaining minutes and May too; better to judge after a few more games, but wish Varney and Long back asap. Still don't understand why May's opportunist goal disallowed; but the ref's explanation goes some way to do so. Silly rule though! Flinders shocking injury put the dampers on the afternoon, and I as everyone else trust the recovery will be successful and he returns as good as ever. My best wishes for his speedy healing.
Next home game Walsall, a win, again a nervy 2-1 with Broom to score [may change that depending on team selection later].
Most scored points, predicting the win. RCS fortunes must surely change soon and hopefully Johnsons Red Army remembers to predict too.

I also send my best wishes to Scott and wish him a speedy and full recovery.
From reading match reports Scott could well have been in contention for Player of Season, so big loss to club.
Cheltenham 1-1 Walsall
Broom
