Former players

What happened to the former players thread? I thought it was going to be made a sticky. I've looked but can't find.

Just watching Solihull Moors at Morecambe on iPlayer/BBC Sport website. Storer has been joined at SM by Jordan Cranston. The ref appears to be awful. On more than one occasion Stoz has had some...rather choice...words for him.

And Cranston has just equalised on the counter, took it very well to be fair!

Watch out ref, Stoz has a bite as well as a bark.

Thought Cranston was still at Morecambe. Didn’t realise he’d moved to Solihull.
Good to see former players (and managers) on the box.

Cranston has a knack of scoring against former clubs.

Would be good to find the thread so that it can be made a sticky.

Whatever happened to George? Did GJ break him? As read about interview with him a while back about Mental Health but was GJ a large contributor and if so how? Glad he’s back playing?

It wasn’t GJ per se, but yes it was a period of poor mental health which George did well to get through and manage.

Billy Waters on as second half sub for Danny Wright atTorquay, scored a brace to keep them top of the table.

Hopefully we won't be playing them next season..

Apologies. I thought it was best not to start another thread.

Glad Addai has had a chance let alone scored!

Crikey I was just about to say it was 32 years since Cotts last played for us, but of course he had that short spell as a player in 1996/97 too before he became our Manager.

Absolute screamer for Fleetwood's Danny Andrew on Quest.

...and a first league goal for Jacob Greaves- but sadly into his own net on a day to forget for him. Character building for him today I guess.

No, it should be a lowercase ‘g’, so Ng.

It is of Chinese origin. I have known a few different people with Ng as one of their names.

...well he was nearly a Robin.

Wonder if we were one of the Div 2 clubs purportedly interested in him?

50k transfer suggests possibly not.

Dare I ask Regency? No malice but I am certainly intrigued. Can do privately if prefer?

No PM needed. George has been open about it. Here is an Echo piece from 2018:

He also spoke on 5Live about it in February 2018 and still posts things on Twitter to help others or share when he has a bad patch.

The under-appreciated (by most only RNF) Nichols scores again for Crawley tonight, this time away at Bournemouth in the Cup.

How we must wish for Nichols quality now - I doubt we can sign better this window.

If only he had shown some of it for us. He was with us half a season and what did he do? OK, the season was ended early but his stats were zero after zero and MD obviously didn't think enough was coming from him.
