I can't quite believe it is here already, it only seems like 5 minutes since we were hammering Harrogate and lifting the League Two trophy. So, what are all of our predictions and hopes for the season to come?

Personally, I think we will finish 13-16th, possibly topping our highest ever points finish in League One and hopefully our highest finish.
Last season I predicted 2 of the 3 automatically promoted sides, including us as Champions, but I shan't even attempt it in this League. For me, it is much, much more wide open and right now, feels like any of 7 or 8 could win it, and any of 7 or 8 could go down.

14th.

At times flowing towards top ten and at others ebbing towards relegation but solidly mid-table when everything comes out in the wash.

Anywhere from 18-24th.

It is a very tough but hopefully there are at least four teams who have a harder time of it than us!

20th would be an ideal scenario, but I have a hunch we will exceed all expectations

The issue for us is that the better start we have the sooner we are likely to lose Mr Duff.

This is very unusual for me but i am going to stick my neck out and predict top six. This is based on nothing more than a gut feeling, and the fact we have a good squad being led by a very professional management team.

Fantastic. We dare to dream. I might back up your optimism with a little £5 bet.

Well, in football, if you can't hope and dream before your first game after winning the division below, when can you?

Good point. What’s the point of winning the league just to be resigned to struggle the next season. We have to start with hope. Bring it on.

My next prediction. Callum Wright has a £5 million price tag this time next season.

I'll be happy with 5th from bottom - but I genuinely believe we'll finish two or three places higher. Safe from relegation with a few games to spare.

12th place. We won't get relegated.

It is really heartening to see RCS following the wisest person ever to inhabit football fora (Ben3) who predicted 14th place about three months ago.

I hope we hear from him again. His wit, wisdom and absolute correctivity will be sorely missed.

As for me, I'm a new comer to this, so I'll say we'll be top of the league at the end of August
