A few years ago, The Daily Mash ran an article about the UK's post-Brexit diet comprising mostly of turnips. Everyone thought it was satire.

Just now, Therese Coffey MP has advised people to stave off the shortages.....by eating turnips, instead.

Maybe the shortages are down to Aldi buying everything up first, because they don't seem to have any empty shelves...

The smaller greengrocers don't seem to have an issue. But good to see them correctly called turnips and not swedes :)

The Scots call swedes, turnips (or 'neeps'). Not entirely sure what they call swedes.

As do the Irish :) But I think you will find it is in England they are named incorrectly as swedes :lol:
