Adshead starting, apparently.

I wonder if this is 100% Russell's team today, or whether Clarke has asked to see particular players or formations.

Also just realised that Clarke had Lloyd on loan at Vale, so he knows him already. Not that he's playing, of course.

He's in for Hammond. Butler-Oyadeji back in the squad. Peupion is out.

From JP:

Southwood; Long (c), Bevan, Freestone, Ferry; Bonds, Sercombe, Adshead, Keena; Malcolm, Street

Subs: Harris, B Williams, Hammond, Thompson, J Williams, Davies, Butler-Oyedeji

D’Auria-Henry and Peupion miss out due to having seven loans. Believed to be fit for selection.

I'd be staggered if there hasn't at least been a discussion. If Clarke wanted to see particular players of formations then it would happen because he's the boss. He may, of course, have given Russell free rein to run the show. Either way, it's DC's call.

Still can't fathom the formation. Could be 442. Or 433. Or 4312. Does DC have a favoured one?

Any advances?

From the semicolon after his name, I'd say Keena is playing in midfield, again. Purely based on the punctuation, it looks like 442.

4-4-2 diamond, but easily becomes 4-3-3 at times too

Stubborn choice of formation. Not set up for the opponent at all. No scouting done by the sound of it. Lincoln commentators have been saying from the off that their wide men are going to have a field day against a 4-3-3 and lo-and-behold one of them scores in tons of space on their right inside the box inside 5 mins.

No press yet again.
It's basics
Fed up after 4 minutes.

Get Darren off the stands and on the touch line!

Well the formation was clearly working well last week so why change it 😆🙄

Jesus Christ. Clarke will be handing in his resignation. It was bad enough when we just couldn't score. We can't defend now either.

Bad enough for Braham-Barrett?

Change of formation, far too late.

Was that Darrell Clarke I saw sneaking out to the car park, with his jacket over his head?
I really don’t think our fitness levels are good enough for League One.

Wonder how many of the current squad will be on our books this time next year?
Not many Benny.

With Keena, I just don't understand how a player can end one season looking so good, has the crowd chanting his song every game, and yet come into the next season and look so bad.

Did out fitness coach/physio change in the summer as well? Last season it was fitness which saw us through at times.

Darrell Clarke checking to see if there's a 14 day cooling off period with his contract.

Aiden Keena fast becoming the new Manny Duku who's looking to have been a bargain at 25K.

Keena was lucky to play alongside the quite brilliant Alfie May.

It. Is . Just . So . Static.

So little movement or creativity in midfield .
No quality to go wit no creativity.
Very worrying .

Freestone hadn’t passed the ball forward.
Sercombe jogging around .
Bonds just lost . Not making any passes.
