I was debating whether to listen after work and that lineup has just made my mind up.
Chapman seemingly playing left back, Hammond and Adshead in midfield. Just six kids on the bench. I guess we don't need £10k. Reads like a "Last Chance XI". Very nice if we do win, but I don't think I'll bother.

very aware we'll probably win 6-0 now

he’s protecting the first team midfield with cannon fodder, surely he’s seen enough of those three.

Although reading the way JP has them set up, Chapman will be one of three centre backs, with Malcolm at left wing back...
Looks more like a 4-3-3 to me
Williams, Horton, Bradbury, Chapman,
Olayinka, Hammond, Adshead,
Malcolm, Keena, Lloyd.

But I'm often wrong!

The only positive for Adshead, chapman and Horton starting is that their may be scouts their tonight and might help encourage a move away in January.

New manager so who knows, but I'm not sure Horton is as quite down the pecking order as that. He's been unlucky with injuries. Apart from the mistake at Bristol rovers in this competition when he may have already been injured, I still can't remember him letting us down.

I caved.

Keena hits the post. I thought the Irish were supposed to have luck?! Did he slap a leprechaun in the summer or something?

Who's co-commentating with Halliwell tonight? A pleasant change.

If I was Josh Williams, I'd just walk off the pitch and go home now.

Chapman with a foul throw, so do we not know anything even the fundamentals of football? How he makes a living off this is beyond me…

Tom King looks a real prospect.
One ray of light tonight.

To put this shitshow in context, all the other Prem u21s in this competition got hammered tonight (with the exception of Fulham).

Spurs, Chelsea, Liverpool…..all well beaten. Our second XI truly is the absolute worst of the worst. Abysmal.

Don't think anyone will be to shocked at that outcome? It was a team with a core of those being fringe players or those drinking in the last chance. We need to be concentrating and using every match to learn lessons that will help us achieve the only prize we need this year L1. The last few Saturday's in the league have shown it could be more than a dream. If last night and last Saturday, help highlight who needs to go, then that is fine by me

This was a ‘free game’ in that we had nothing to gain or lose from the result but it was a perfect opportunity for DC to assess any players he may have been unsure about.
