JP tweeting four contracted players have now been told they are not in manager Darrell Clarke's plans and made available for loan.

Good just hope we can find clubs who can afford their wages so we not paying them to play elsewhere.

Non league loans only until January. And players can see out their contracts here if they so desire.

So that is actually 4 who can go straight away. Presuming it will be added to come January

I'll be disappointed, but I bet Keena's one of them.

Robin will probably be disappointed if Goodwin isn't another!

I think he may stay, we need more than 2 forwards contesting for the Bench slots. Unless Young King steps up of coure.

King could be away with England.

Seriously? I know he’s had a poor start to the season, but binning your record signing after barely 9 months? That would be staggering.

He's been off form but getting rid of our only senior striker would be a very dangerous gamble.I also don't believe Goodwin will be one leaving just yet.

Cant see Keena being one of them although if we hadn't paid the fee then thoughts may be different.

My gut says Adshead, Horton, Chapman and Olayinka.

You're simply never going to accept you're wrong on this are you?

Well he says they will be development players, some would argue that narrows it down to around 25 :) But would seem to look like Keena is safe, for now - of he doesn't fall into the 'not professional every day with right attitude'

When Keena signed for the club Mickey Moore and Wade Elliott praised his attitude . His former club and fans said the same and he was certainly good enough last season. Why do people here think anything has changed ? He looked good on Tuesday despite not playing in a well selected side. Signs of finding his form were there.
Chances of finding a club for players the Manager slags off are slim unless we heavily subsidise the wages. One or two may be happy to drop to the Conference but we could still have them until January and with injuries they might be back in the side. Without Adshead ,Olayinka and Chapman we have three injury suspects in midfield and one out long term plus Hammond. If Long is at right back we still need Bradbury/Davies as cover .
I suspect a few free agents are sniffing around.

Not sure he is wrong. He’s had 3 or 4 games where he’s done well. So have Olayinka and Chapman.

Hopefully Will takes confidence from those games and steps it up to show he’s a L1 goalscorer.

For different reasons to most, I’d love him to do well.

DC mentioned developmental players that we can't wait for, so I wouldn't have thought it would be Keena. Especially not going out on loan with the deal he will be on.

Chapman and Adshead are nailed on certs, aren't they. The only other players that might fit into the category that aren't loans, I guess, are Olayinka, Horton and Lloyd (unfortunately, as I like all three). I thought Olayinka had still looked promising in his couple of games under DC and ran himself into the ground v Cambridge, which is what he said he wants.

I'd say Lloyd will be around until January if he was to be loaned out. I know people have mentioned DC took him on loan at Port Vale but he didn't play a big role and was in the division below.

Horton a cert for me purely based on how much cover there is in defence

I agree. I'm just not convinced DC rates him. He didn't see his performances, last season: he's only seen him in the last few months and I doubt he's been impressed.

As good as Links was against Cambridge, he was absolutely shocking in midweek, and judging on Adam Murray's comments post West Ham, I think it's superseding how he played a few weeks back.

I'm sure he's watched games last season, even this season in my eyes he still can hit the sweetest shot out of everyone even though he hasnt scored e.g hitting the post vs Peterborough

Some players you just love for no obvious reason and Links in one of them for me. I'm convinced there's a classy, talented player in there. But he must be getting on for 50 CTFC appearances now with very little to show for it so, logically, time's pretty much up.

Agree about Links, for someone who came through the Arsenal academy and who was regarding as a high potential talent only a few years ago when on loan at Northampton his end product is really lacking. I think I'm right in saying so far he has no goals and only one assist in his time here which is poor. Can see him doing a job in league two though so if we go down he'd be worth keeping for that.

Based on today’s team I’d say your gut was correct.

Is Sambu part of the squad, albeit currently out on loan?
