Charlton sniffing round JCH who's on £6k a week at peterborough and his agent wants next club to pay £10k a week for his services, he's 29 years old. Can't imagine AM will be too pleased if he arrives at the Valley.

Not a nearly 30 year old moving with a fee over 500k? Thought that didn't happen

According to reports, Clarke-Harris is being looked at as 'the perfect foil' for Alfie.

£10k a week when they're still going to be a League One team next season. Utter madness. And he'll be giving up a good shot at Championship football next season at Peterborough, which I'd imagine would come with a significant wage increase too.

The football messiah Barry Fry said they have no sell on value so there you go, Barry Fry FFS!! Of we course we just do as we're told.

If the salary reports are true, that would put two of Charlton's forwards on close to £1m a year between them. Probably not far off the salary for our entire first choice starting 11.

Apparently Charlton have had a £450,000 bid accepted.

Alfie apparently trebled his wages when he moved to Charlton so he's likely on a minimum of £300,000 a year himself, that's huge money for this level.

Alfie is the top scorer in the league. I’d be surprised if they were looking to replace him.

How interesting to have a thread on a player we are not buying, but who may be going to some other club or may not and
....
... yawn

Sometimes it takes one with a greater awareness to point out what should be the obvious, without actually adding to the debate

I don’t think there is anything wrong with discussing other football issues, especially those which could potentially affect Cheltenham (since Charlton are not that far ahead of us in the league).

Oh dear , we are going to be awash with threads relating to players other L1 teams have bought. Sadly one has to open and read the post before knowing it has nothing to do with us. I see Charlton have brought in another couple of players. Will I start a thread for them, or leave that with you?

Nope.

Because the context here is that we sold our record goalscorer to Charlton for a sum that engendered ACRES of debate on here and other fora. The same club have now signed another forward with a comparable record to AM for a much bigger fee to potentially partner our former record goalscorer.

If you think that is on a par with any old “random club signs random player” post, you’re just being disingenuous.
