Sunny Singh Gill.

Following in the footsteps of his dad, Jarnail Singh, Sunny Singh Gill is in his second season on the EFL referee list. As such he became only the second British south Asian referee. His brother, Bhupinder, is a linesman in the Premier League.

He has three recent, and fairly notable, appointments with Town:

Forest Green 1 -1 Cheltenham - Nov 2022 - EFL Trophy - 1-1 (Cheltenham won on penalties)
Bolton 1-0 Cheltenham - Feb 2023
Cheltenham 0 - 2 Barnsley - Sept 2023

Singh Gill is highly regarded and is on the UEFA list for youth level internationals. So, hopefully, we'll get a good competent performance from a decent official whose career is on the up.

We're due a win with him in charge as well, it seems...

The referee for the rearranged game is:

Benjamin Speedie

This is only his fourth season on the EFL list, so relatively little history with Town:

Reading 1 - 0 Cheltenham (August 2023)
Sheff Weds 3 - 0 Cheltenham (Oct 2022)
Cheltenham 3 - 1 Morecambe (Oct 2021)
CHAMPIONS 4 - 1 Harrogate (May 2021)

So, Reading aside, expect goals galore (possibly not all at the end we want them to be).

Tuesday looks bleak, rain and gales....call it off now, as we are becoming a weak nation.

If anyone can do it in a hurricane on a Tuesday night in Bolton, Darrell can.

From what DC was saying, the Lino didn't flag until after the Ref blew his whistle to give the offside. If so then that is ridiculous and both deserve -10/10!
