Derby did us a favour last night scoring late winner against Burton. Good result for us. Burton played well and Derby struggled after taking 2 goal lead. Think we can cause them problems later this month. Just those 2 good midfielders in the Derby side. Bypass them!!!!

Tonight Carlisle play Barnsley. Bet it is cold up there. Hopefully a few pulls and strains out on the pitch in the Carlisle team.
No sentiment I'm afraid. Every man for himself until of the end of the season.

Hour gone and Barnsley haven't had a shot on target yet...
As it stands, Carlisle will still be behind us on GD, but we will have three games in hand before our meeting on Saturday.

And there's the equaliser
First shot on target. Thought from the highlights on Saturday their new keeper didn't look any better.

Thank God , now a winner Barnsley. Apparently Carlisle playing like us... high press and energy and Barnsley not coping.

80 mins. Barnsley still with just the one shot on target.

I saw a Barnsley fan the other day say they were gonna catch Portsmouth... Not if they can't beat Carlisle and only have one shot on target!

There is a God and he is on our side. Phew. Certainly a kick in the guts for Carlisle.
Got to make sure we do the business on Saturday. Carlisles new striker seemed to impress first half.

Full time. So, 3 points ahead of them with 3 games in hand.

Yes, really need to compound their misery on Saturday, with Bolton and Derby away next week. Not expecting anything from those two.

Exeter v Cambridge, Wigan v Reading, Fleetwood v Portsmouth, Burton v Charlton on Saturday.

Didn't think Barnsley 2nd was a pen. He dived but who cares. Thought we looked in control for 30mins against Bolton. Bolton just had hard game against Prem team. Saturday long trip to Orient. That won't be easy for them and then we visit them. We have had restful week to prepare and up to Bolton and cause an upset. Top teams start to get the wobbles this time of year, before the cream rises, whoever that will be.
Derby didn't look that good against Burton. Burton unlucky to lose.

15-20 mins to go and, so far, a bit of a mix.

Shrews have just gone behind after leading Peterborough, leaving them in 19th, 3 points and one place above Exeter.
Wigan beating Reading.
Burton beating Charlton 2-0, which gets Burton away from us but leaves Charlton just 7 points above us with 2 games in hand and a further 19 to play (wouldn't it be hilarious?).
Fleetwood losing to Portsmouth.
Exeter and Cambridge drawing 0-0, meaning Cambridge won't get away from us, but Exeter will gain a point that means we can't get out of the bottom 4 with one win.

Tuesday's opponents Bolton are losing at Orient!

With all teams around us and near us dropping points, I will be happy if it stays that way

And they have stayed that way. Not a single goal scored by anyone in League One in the last 15 minutes. That's got to be a rarity.

Bearing in mind two of our games in hand are Burton and Carlisle, we have a good chance of picking up the 4 points needed to get us ahead of Exeter.

Good set of results for us. Alfie could be waving on his way past us and down!

A Mr Bean style “Whistler’s Mother” image would look good on the History Makers Mural of Alfie May before Charlton play us in March. I can’t forgive his second penalty goal celebration against us.

Think I would have preferred a Reading equaliser and Burton not to win but perhaps I'm being picky :D ;)

Mike Duff would not drop down to Shrewsbury but I could see Micky going for Wade after last season.

notice in the report on BBC that Ian Baraclough turned the job down before Taylor took it.

It actually says they spoke to him, not that they offered it him.

Strong indications from Charlton forum that Duff lined up to replace Appleton, mmmmm hope not

The man in the know at Charlton says he is a gonna. Looking at Duff or Eustace apparently as replacement.

Just hope these managerial changes don't give these teams hovering around us a boost. Exeter fans want rid as well.

Need Bristol Rovers to turn up second half. An Exeter away win, currentl 1 up, would really be a kick in the guts.

Rubbish results tonight. Need to get at Derby early on Saturday, get the crowd on their back. They’ll either be nervous after losing tonight or we are going get a backlash.

I get the feeling Exeter getting the results they need will be the issue for the rest of the season, no matter what we do, hopefully not.
