Christian Doidge rejoins FGR from Hibernian.
Opens the way for Matty Taylor?

I mentioned on 30th January in the ‘Top Target’ thread, that I had long admired Doidge. I had a feeling he might be available from Hibernian. He was valued at c£50K. FGR have done well to get him back, he’s almost 3 years younger than Matty Taylor and 4 inches taller. Taylor is the same height as Alfie May.
I wonder whether FGR have done a great bit of business there, as they have a tall target man now. We still need one, especially if Rob Street has a long absence.

Good to see you giving The Nest more of your wisdom. 😉

If you dislike people's independent opinion, may I suggest The People's Daily.

Keena's best strike partner during his time here was Alfie May - and Doidge is FGR's record goalscorer so as they're in trouble at the bottom of L2 and they have a slight bit of stability with a decent manager it stands to reason the he was always going to go back there.

Sometimes a club and a player are inextricably linked - and when they're in trouble they always go back to help them out - like Billy Sharp and Sheff Utd or Joe Garner and Carlisle🤔

Hopefully Joe Nuttall will turn out to be A Rob Street type battering ram + goals...
