DC: "We are a club of opportunity. We can’t match other clubs financially at this level, we just can't." #ctfc

So we may get a dud or a superstar

I hope all those on other forms of social media reads what DC is saying

So lets hope the players grasp the opportunities

Exactly. This is nothing new. We have always signed players that have been getting an opportunity to show what they can do in order to move up. It doesn't always work out, but we are a stepping stone and that's the way it is until we get much higher capacity and a larger fan base. We signed a guy from non-league FGR quite a while back now called Kayode Odejayi. He didn't set the world alight, but he did a good job and got a move up to Barnsley. It's how we've always operated in the EFL and yet people are still angry and upset when we sign players from divisions below who haven't been banging goals in because they've all whipped themselves into a frenzy thinking we're suddenly going to be in the market for players who a) we can't afford and b) would rather be playing at a "bigger" club. They only have themselves to blame for their disappointment, but they aim it anywhere else, usually the club or RM at the moment.
