Assuming Goodwin plays some part, how many is he gonna score? May and Goodwin in consecutive games whilst we can't score at the other end.

Cheltenham Town (v Oxford United away): Southwood; Davies, Bradbury, Shepherd; Long (c), Pett, Sercombe, Kinsella, Ferry; Keena, Nuttall

Come on then Aidan and Joe, your time has come. Would have loved to see Thomas start but doesn't really work unless we change formation.

Considering performances of late a change of formation wouldn't be a bad thing

Big beefy back line, hope they take advantage of any set pieces. Joe and Aiden time to shine.
I did mention that Keena is to score against Oxford!!! Hope my crystal ball wasn't telling me porkies.
Be funny if both strikers score!!

Think we could field a team of giants and still not win a long throw or score from a corner

An extraordinarily Jekyll and Hyde line-up.

Solid looking defence, best midfield in years and then.....the forwards.

Come on lets get some positive vibes going. We have scored a lot of goals from set pieces this season, as mentioned in another thread. Going to be our day,

Nobody seems surprised that Lloyd is missing... Did I miss an announcement that he's injured?

I'm both surprised and not surprised. The way it's going I'm also surprised we have any "specialist" forwards at all.

I'm very unsure about Ferry. No Williams on the bench so I hope he's not playing out of necessity and then will probably have to go off after half an hour again.

JP saying that it looks like Williams is in fact on the bench in place of Tom King.

He's ill.

And, tbh, he looks like he could do with a break anyway.

Interesting. So Thomas and Harrop the only attacking subs.

Why do I feel like this is going to be a painful afternoon.

Oxford commentator: one win in 10 for United

Me: we have a chance

Also me: Charlton had one in about 100 before playing us

Eh, why not. Something about a military parade and blue light day were mentioned

I remember something about it on their website - didn't think it would be so cold! Yes - I'm a lightweight 😂

Looks like we're benefitting from/enjoying a better pitch so far. Few days without rain too.

Well, Nuttall isn't really having much of an impact...seems very slow to react to anything that happens.

Sneaky digs at the Board by Statler and Waldorf on the commentary. I hope we stick in a few goals to get their blinkers off .

Talking of pronouncing names, Laurel and Hardy told us when Kindles joined that they’d been told it was ‘Kinsulla’ but they still call him ‘Kinsella.’

Given he has barely picked him until there was no other option, I suggest not a lot.

Nuttall has been so poor he's making Keena look like Harry Kane ( without the goals obviously.)

I thought they said they were told it was Kinsulla but the man himself told them he pronounces it Kinsella.

Exactly. The only other so-called striker we have is a 5'8 kid. Although at this point we'd be better with Thomas on the left wing and someone else on the right with just Keena up front.
