These are as near dam correct, after rounding figures up

Total of fans at home 105,907
Average home attendance 4,605
Average home fans 3,759
Average away fans 846

For the Hardy Chelt fans who travelled to away games we took 8371
Average per game of 364

An impressive Average of away fans following their sides to Whaddon road, just guess work, but we could lose in the region of £250,000 in away revenue in league 2, plus the casual home fans who won't follow us in league 2 will be significant

I agree to a point Shev, especially about the away fans. But if we have a winning team on the pitch I think we could get close to 3700 home fans. Not saying it will happen but it could if we are pushing near the top.

I believe that's our 2nd highest ever average attendance in the FL,I assume also of all time.only the 2002/2003 season beating it.

I seem to remember our attendances were good when we pulled our finger out in the national league winning season.

Both conference winning seasons were just iver 3,000 average.

Both would have been hindered massively by lower away followings.

Gateshead brought 12 in the National League season on a Tuesday night (to be clear, I’m not mocking that, just stating it as a fact. We would likely have been nowhere near even covering the running costs of opening the Hazlewoods for that).

If we get, say, Barrow or Harrogate on a midweek, the away figure will struggle to get into triple figures.

The problem is that 3,000 is small fry in the National League these days - Chesterfield were regularly getting 8,000 this season, Wrexham and Notts County more than that last year. Admittedly there are plenty of smaller sides in and around the playoffs, but our home average this season would have us in about 17th place in League Two this season (assuming away crowds of about 300). 3000 home fans would have us at around 20th place - that is quite a sobering thought:

Who was the team we beat 5-0 in the National League title winning season? Midweek game at WR under lights and the away supporters coach was late arriving.
About 25 got off and by the time they were in their seats we were 2-0 up and we’d only played five minutes. Much amusement prevailed.

Was it Guiseley?

The reverse fixture at their place was one my favourite ever away games.

Yes it was Guiseley. Think Billy Waters got a hat trick? Can’t find a breakdown of our results that season. Just an overall page of results only from the national league that season.
