RNF Predicta League 2024/25 Season

And just like that, here we are again...even if it does seem like years since our last league fixture. Open to all, a bit of fun(?), feel free to join in if you haven't before - it's quick, easy and free.

Our first game of the season is now available on the Predicta section of the forum, but I'm sure nobody wants to predict until they have more of an idea what our team might be on the 10th: https://robinsnestforum.co.uk/viewtopic ... 96#p362096

Whilst I've got your attention, I'm thinking about a couple of scoring changes for this season, basically based on thoughts/suggestions from asl toward the end of last season. Let me know what you think, if you want them to go ahead or have any other suggestions at all. Preferably, let me know here: https://robinsnestforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=32339 to keep this thread relatively clear for the season ahead.

- Firstly, you will now get 3 “bankers” to use a season. You can use it on any prediction AS A WHOLE and you will TRIPLE your entire points for that match. The number of £’s next to your name will denote how many “bankers” you have left to play.
- Possible additions to this depending on feedback
1, for a sacrifice of 10 points you may buy another “banker” at any point, unless you are in first place overall
2, at the half way point of the League season, all those in the bottom half of the table will be given 3 extra bankers.

- The minute of the first goal will also be tweaked so that you get 6 points for getting the minute spot on, and 3 points if you get the correct ten minute period, ie, 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, etc. Injury time goals at the end of either half will count as either 41-50 or 81-90, even if they’re scored in, say, 45+6 or 90+11.

All other scoring to remain the same, unless anyone has any suggestions.

And so we have our first table of the season. Remarkably, asl got the correct minute of the first goal, with two of us one minute off, and another player just 3 minutes out. Hopefully a few more will decide to join in, though, as 8 feels almost like a minimum, really!
