Will play Torquay United at home in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup IF they win their replay in the 1st qualifying round.

(Nice for Cleeve, but obviously it’s written in the stars that we are going to get knocked out in round 1 by Torquay at home).

Cleeve won 2-1 with an 87th minute winner.

Torquay United will visit Kayte Lane. Scheduled for 14 Sept (though could be moved). Surely it'll be a 1300 sellout?

I know a few people who've already said they definitely want to go.

Fair play to Cleeve - they have a great little set up there and deserve a good crowd.

Won 3-0, not overly familiar with the history of Bishops Cleeve but must rank up there as one of their best results ever? Don’t recall them facing an ex-FL team very often.

2 wins away from the 1st round proper.

Great win for Cleeve, and fairly predictably Gulls fans are calling it probably their most embarrassing defeat ever....losing to a park side playing on a plastic pitch.

They should probably remember that they are only two levels above Cleeve nowadays and yesterday burst the balloon of optimism that has engulfed Torquay since a new local consortium took over.

My biggest beef though is that I thought I would see when the draw is made for the next round.
Let's try the FA site.....nope.
Ah it's the Emirates FA cup...of course it is.
At least there's a little round up of cup upsets; but crucially it still doesn't tell me when the friggng draw is

I'm sure someone can tell me it's sometime on Monday, but if you're running a competition surely it should be easy for senile punters like me to find out.

I missed most of the first half (the queue for a beer was something else) but they seemed to deservedly go in 2-1 up at half-time. Second half though, apart from the first 5-10 mins, they were completely outplayed and Malvern more than deserved their equaliser - even if it came from a penalty.

In extra-time, Malvern dominated the first period and took the lead from a corner going directly into the goal. Second period, Cleeve kept lobbing balls into the box and Malvern just gobbled everything up. There was a shout for handball late on, but I was too far away to see anything clearly.

Malvern were deserved winners though, and their fans were outstanding (there was bloody loads of them in the 1,100 crowd)
