Re: Cheltenham Town v Bristol Rovers
Positives were Wilcox looking better each match he plays and Diallo in goal looked very composed for someone so inexperienced. As others have said Pell had obviously been told to shield the back 4 but he looked so leggy and off the pace. Angol was awful and must have made up SC mind that we need ano...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Fleetwood Town
I thought we had a plan and executed it to perfection first half against the wind it was noticeable we tried to keep possession and play on the floor. We have seen all season there is no point lumping it long to a short striker. We got in at 0-0 then had the wind at our backs 2nd half and the slope....

GK Day RWB AJB CB Sherring CB Wilson CB Wilcox LWB Harmon CDM Young CM Hutchinson CM Kinsella CAM Archer CF Bickerstaff I can see him keeping 5 at the back and Bickerstaff looks certain to have to play up top on his own. Perhaps a diamond in midfield? Could also maybe take Hutchinson out of that tea...

Re: Next Manager
I wouldn't be against Hinshelwood who is actually a manager who has a decent win rate (albeit at a lower level) or Brady who has a track record of success at L2 level and would probably be a solid option. I think Evans would keep us up and do a decent job but don't really want him as he would divide...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Accrington Stanley
I thought it was two poor teams but overall we probably did enough to deserve the win. At this stage however it doesn't matter how the points come we just needed that win. I thought Sherring and Bennett were the pick of the players and Hutchinson deserves credit for the standout piece of quality whi...

It is embarrassing and shows what state the club is currently in. It again shows why in my opinion you need someone full time overlooking the whole operations of the club off the field to avoid these situations happening. The board i believe have good intentions but don't seem to have the time or ex...

Re: Flynn In!
I actually thought Flynn gave a good honest interview after the match. If anything too honest for his own good when he admitted players effectively weren't trying 100 percent or didn't want to fight for the club. The comment about not wanting to run I'm training was very eye opening. At the end of t...

As a couple of others have mentioned without trying to get too technical and modern football lingo our xg is awful and isn't sustainable. We have been reliant on individual magic as seen by us being one of the top scorers of goals from outside the box out of the 92 English league clubs. My concern ...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Bromley
I'm really torn as I find it difficult to justify removing a manager so early into the season but if you look back to last season I think that is 9 defeats in our last 13 league matches which is an awful run. Problem i have with Flynn is we are now over 50 matches in an I still have no clue what our...

I agree it wasn't unacceptable if you want context for what I would deem as that see Morecambe and Tranmere away last season.... it wasn't that bad. It was just a performance lacking creativity and quality. What worries me is the way we tend to set up and tactics dictates we see a lot of performance...

Re: Cambridge United v Cheltenham Town
Very familiar away performance to last season in my opinion. It was lump it up to Miller who was left isolated and hope we pick up on a loose ball. We still have no natural attacking midfielder as shown by Broom struggling in that role. We know he needs to play as wing back or winger to be seen to b...

Re: Falling behind in summer recruitment.
I think it all relates back to that fan forum with Clarke where it was mentioned by a couple of people how it was concerning we were relying on a player sale each year to break even.... As players wages have inflated and we have stood still and other clubs progressed we have just been left behind. Y...

Looking at it from a fan perspective a new fan zone and improved bar area is essential. To be honest I don't believe Archer was always likely to leave as he did sign that new contract meaning a decent fee would need to be paid. Thomas it did seem was inevitable to leave especially with his release clause. I believe we will have both here come the first game of the season as I would hav...

Re: Michael Flynn after Worcester
The Miller situation is nothing new as any player who has played for us is always effectively vulnerable to leaving if a significant fee is involved we are a selling club in the food chain, it just appears we are not actively looking to get rid of him anymore. We do seem in a bit of a limbo at the m...

It does seem to be quiet but that isn't too unusual for us as a club. I'm sure we will have a few early signings of early identified targets and then the majority will be signed via loans who their parent clubs wait on until they know thier own squad situations and older players who become more desp...

He wasn't beat easily, he slipped over. It could happen to anyone. Didn't look like a slip to me looked like he got out muscled and beaten on the outside by his opponent. As others have said it was an improvement on the previous defeats but that isn't hard! I'm no sports scientist but would playing 2 matches in a few days after having a couple of weeks off be a reason for a lot of players struggling? I think there are two completely different issues and both can be true. Off field we should never have appointed GJ. We had warning signs from Torquay and it was never going to be popular. In fact to this day I still can't believe it and it is one of the reasons the board aren't taken seriously. As ...

I think Si mentioned it but he is right in saying on the pitch performances are then mirroring peoples thoughts off it. As others have said surely this should be used as an advantage and point of difference. We have been relegated on that pitch from L2 and won a league title on that pitch. I think we have definitely tried to be more defensive which is understandable given the goals we were conceding. Thought it would be interesting to get others thoughts on what system or team they would like to see us start. I believe Jude Boyd and Colwill are unavailable due to internationals. I also noticed for almost the entire match Flynn was sat down and Downes appeared to be the one up and giving instructions from the dugout which was a bit odd.
