very good point. Must be one of the best/worst combinations in the EFL.slinky_dog wrote: ↑18 Apr 2024, 19:01 I note Curtis Davies’ last goal was against Luke Southwood (for Derby v Reading)
So how many consecutive goals has Curtis slotted past Luke Southwood over a 2 year period!

Re: TONIGHT: 2023/24 Club Annual Shareholders Meeting and Fans’ Forum
Unfortunately I couldn't attend or watch tonight but I've seen a quote from DC, when asked if he would be leaving, that basically said he has standards and at the moment the club aren't meeting them. Is there anything else that was said/asked to be added to this???

Re: The RNF Predicta League 2023-24
Also, I think we've all known it's just a matter of time for quite a while, but I've just realised that Johnsons Red Army is now 73 points clear with 72 left to play for, so is now a two-time Predicta League Champion , and avenges his one point final day defeat of 22/23, by demolishing us all this s...

Once Joe got wound up by the Burton defender he was immense. Hopefully he will be the same on Saturday,Perhaps he wants to stay here. I thought that as well, definitely improved when he was pissed off. Bonds also improved after he got the smack in the face. So...maybe DC needs to get in their faces...

We've got no fit strikers but let's not put the kid on the bench because it's a foregone conclusion he won't do anything if needed? Balls. Get him on there and throw him on if necessary. Nobody expects anything, but it's better than nothing and he may do something.

Re: Deciding games
Lincoln will be our hardest game by far, as far as I'm concerned. They're in great form, just beat Oxford away to close the gap to the last play-off spot and did it with 10 men for the last 20 mins or so. Plus, we have a c!#p recent record against them. Peterborough I think may be starting to think ...

Re: Steve Evans
If nothing else, it'll just be more palatable not having that...person managing the opposition if we go down on that day. On the other side, they may get a new manager in beforehand who gets a bounce for their last game or two, players showing the new boss what they can do...which would just sum up ...

He hardly gave us decisions the like of which we have had to suffer. No offside goals, no dodgy penalties against or stonewallers not given. Not even any constant, repeated fouls/wrestling not given. Just a few helpful free kicks here and there. We are due well more than that. Have to say, I think N...

8 shots, 2 on target, 2 goals in the second half. A bit more like it.

Southwood: kicks the ball with his left foot, goes down holding his right foot.
Commentators: that's the foot he's been trying to avoid kicking with because of his injured toe.
Me: what?

But you can score with it! And it's pretty hard to run with a shoulder injury. Especially if it's a bad one.

Just seen that Burton have lost their last 7 home games. Time for CTFC to do what they do best - step in and dutifully end the opposition's bad run! His players could take a bollocking and use it constructively in the past. Things have changed. You can't just shout at players any more, they get offended... That lot up there obviously have a strop and can't cope mentally. Again, mis-management from the top, recruiting the wrong players on stupid ...

Sorry, this 'member' is fully expecting another tepid performance and poor result, helped by more terrible officiating. Will obviously be pleasantly surprised if the outcome is otherwise. Luckily, none of the players will be (or bloody well shouldn't be) looking on here.

I'm almost half tempted to go through all of the match day threads from this season and see how many times i've mentioned a s#!t decision going against us from a ref/big calls that have gone against us when it looked impossible to not give it. I'm actually surprised anyone still believes that we've even got a chance. Even if we do somehow get some luck or, God forbid, put in a performance and win tonight, I'm personally of the opinion that we're already down, given the last 3 fixtures. I'm tired of having renewed hope only for it to be da...
