Re: Liam Sercombe
Long I won't lose any sleep over as long as we can get an adequate replacement in for him. He was no world beater, but he was solid enough most of the time. Had plenty of woeful games, though. I thank him for his 6 years service. Time to move on. If we can get adequate replacements, anyone can, cou...

Re: WHO SAYS CHEATS NEVER PROSPER?
Well the Sevco Franchise got to keep all Rangers' titles and honours, despite essentially being a new club. The Wiki entry is quite interesting and I'd not read it before: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Administration_and_liquidation_of_the_Rangers_Football_Club_plc So you would rather supporters we...

Re: Former players
Just had a proper "wait, what?!" moment. Apparently Jermaine McGlashan has won the first promotion of his managerial career, taking Croydon up via the play-offs. As surprising as it is that McGlashan has gone into management, (to me, he didn't seem like the type of player that usually bec...

This is the point. What are the club doing to source the funding. We're constantly told we need to make money away from the football pitch, then in the same breath we're told we can't afford to do anything to increase the chances of making more money. I've got to be honest - I feel the club gets an...

Re: Liam Sercombe
Not 100% he is still a League One player if I'm being honest, and this isn't meant to disrespect him, but even though he won our player of the season award and was our top scorer, he didn't have a huge amount of opposition, did he. I'm not sure he gets in anything other than a struggling L1 team. E...

Interesting snippet from the FAQs: The club has been running concession checks throughout 2023/24 and based on findings estimate that in excess of £10,000 has been lost by supporters using the wrong age category of ticket. Sad to hear, but have to say I have never been challenged. Depressingly I mu...

Re: Retained list
The counter argument with Lloyd is that he scored 5 goals in 20 games for Grimsby in L2. That would equate to 11 or 12 goals over a season. Not a goal machine, but not bad either. So, perhaps that’s his level. And it’s all very likely a moot point because it seems almost certain he’s going anyway. ...

Re: Professionalising 'little old Cheltenham'
I'm with you paperboy, and I posted as much upthread. Whilst there are only a few clubs that don't have CEOs, that means all the clubs in turmoil also have one. FGR for example, and Carlisle. I'm not saying we shouldn't have one, but I can't get away from the fact that as soon as we have one and th...

Ryan Bowman leaves Shrewsbury - werent we interested a couple of years ago? Yes we were and no thanks now. He was in the Hereford team we beat in the FA Cup 12 years ago. He also scored one league goal last season and guess who that was against  Given that it sounds like he would fit right in!

Taking the emotional speculation of what he did and didn’t do when he left, it is a sensible move if there’s any truth in it. A real inflexion point for the club at the moment and there’s logic in a) filling that position and b) filling it with someone known and to an extent ‘proven’. Personally no...
