Re: Teams around us - Thread to season end

Hit the post again, and scored from the rebound Ironic it was Loft who the PV forum have been slagging off all game. I guess now he is best thing since sliced bread. Hope it doesn't get them on a winning run, which I was afraid of. Loft missed a sitter in the first half. Through with only the keepe...

Re: England Shirt - Coloured Cross

The FA are solely to blame for signing off the design. Nike would have put it forward as a suggestion but it is up to the customer, i.e. the FA who has to approve it. They should be hauled over the coals on the pricing. They should have insisted that the pricing was similar to other football shirts,...

Re: England Shirt - Coloured Cross

I have been totally bemused by the uproar caused by colouring of a cross on the collar of the shirt. It appears to me that most who are making the most fuss are those that would never buy an England shirt. I would say that it has really been a marketing coup by Nike as seemingly the shirts are sold...

Seems as though reading fans aren't too please with the purchase and some quite awful things being directed to the Wycombe hierarchy (on the socials) with all due respect to Reading its hardly a football dynasty is it Merge the clubs. You are 100% correct. For some reason I've always thought we lost that game 1-0. I still think a battling point will be fantastic on Saturday. It sticks in my mind as I was in France on holiday. It was the same night as Newcastle v Sunderland where Ruud Gullit left Alan Shearer on the bench and los...

Re: Quelle Surprise

I blame the increase of American ownership of PL clubs and the desire to control the sport like American football. They prefer the insular selfish approach to sport, hence the lack of interest in the EFL. I am sure that if they had their way, they would do away with promotion and relegation.

Re: League One - clubs in crisis

I'm ambivalent to Reading's plight. On one hand, they're clearly being diddled by someone who should never have been allowed to take ownership of the club. On the other - they're surviving because in the summer they were able to apparently blow Cambridge out of the water wage wise to sign Sam Smith...

I think it was John Ward who said 51 means you are safe 84 means promotion Yesterday on the commentary some one said at the start of the game 33 played 33 point we were on virtually the same number of points as at the same stage last year We need to grind out a few more wins 6 would be perfect but ...

Vale lose their game in hand over us at Reading. Reading now onto 38 points, along with Cambridge, who lost at home to Notlob. Us on 32, Charlton on 33, Shrews 35, then 4 teams on 38. Wigan next on 40, then two in that group on 38, and then it's Charlton... Hold onto your hats, boys and girls. Shad...

George Lloyd works so hard we love that, but he has to add goals/assists to become a great Robin ? Creating space and chaos for others to exploit and score will do for me. And that's what he seems to be doing well. Still needs to add goals to his game...... But for poor refereeing, he should have t...
