Re: Deciding games

Not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere else but Pett, Keena, Freestone all out for the last 3 and Lloyd touch and go aswell. At least we're well stocked for LCBs and CMs. As for forwards, lets just hope MT can hold together. Never fear, I am a free agent and will be bringing an old pair of bo...

Re: Burton Albion v Cheltenham Town

He showed against Carlisle he's not quite ready to start. He's better coming on against tiring legs than fresh ones. We desperately missed him later on against Carlisle to jink through the congestion and get tripped in the box instead all we seemed to do was endlessly lump it in to the box for thei...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Carlisle United

We are at our best when pressing but only Lloyd and Street can do that because we failed to improve the forward line other than Taylor. Once the dust has settled and we do the post mortem, we’ll identify a few key events as being pivotal. Street standing on the ball at Derby while chasing a lost ca...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Carlisle United

Was thinking the exact same. Very strange if he isn't injured that he has now fallen below even Olayinka despite two promising showings. It seems DC is doesn't want to drop or give Pett, Kinsella or Sercs a rest and theres only so many places on the bench There was an incident in the second half we...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Carlisle United

Wow, that is some change to the starting line up. Davies and Bradbury as a 2 at the back?! Ferry, Lloyd and Keena on the bench... Nuttall starts alone up top, and Thomas and Harrop get their first starts as well. What a time to get it... Let's pray this doesn't backfire bigtime. Other than Davies p...

Re: Jordan Thomas

Does Davies have the legs to play in a back 4 though? Think that'll be on the forefront of DCs mind Think he might have that dilemma solved for him as I think Davies will retire, or maybe drop down and go part-time if he wants to keep playing. Will Davies be a League One player when he turns 40? Ev...

Re: Jordan Thomas

He looks like a really good pickup. We'll done Mr Milton after the flack he's got this season.

My only question is, if he is a starter how does DC accommodate him in our current system? I'd hate to see him converted to a wing back

Re: Cheltenham Town v Exeter City

Freestone one was unlucky but think it did hit his hand. Guess it’s just the fact it was close to his body and point blank. The late one where it was bouncing around and someone won the header and got absolutely clattered was unbelievable. Anywhere on the pitch is a foul Agree on both of those points

Re: Exeter

Not sure whos even fit or able to do 90 mins in this one.

Assuming Lloyd is out I'd rather we started with Keena up top on his own so theres at least one senior striker on the bench in Nuttall. Also Olayinka may be worth a cameo too further up the pitch later on in a packed midfield.

Re: Fleetwood Town v Cheltenham Town

Fantastic result but these injuries are building up with games coming thick and fast. Hoping they're minor knocks except Lloyd that looks like he could be out for weeks

DC could do with having a plan B and C to revert to as despite a good assist Nuttall really isn't a starter for me.

Not sure if promotion or goals scored were part of that though.

£300k (just) for a striker that's scored 20+ (league) goals in the last three seasons.

Re: The rest of the season

I'm genuinely perplexed how advocating we splash out 20k is going to affect the sustainability of the club. How anyone can think a L1 club will soldier on with a strike force so short on numbers ( and quality). Remember we had NO strikers on the bench on Saturday. So you want a quality striker on a...

Re: Oxford United v Cheltenham Town

Totally agree. The board have left DC high and dry. They knew we were going to make a big loss and we needed the cash so they sold Alfie for peanuts (League One top scorer again!!) and cashed in on Goodwin because they felt that short-term money was preferable to goals and therefore League One surv...
