Average house price in Cheltenham £333k; in Harrogate, £395k. Just an indicator, obviously.

Is Harrogate really cheaper than Cheltenham? When I worked at...that [ahem] secret place in Cheltenham, Harrogate was the only place outside London where you got an additional subsistence allowance if you worked there.

Sky Sports for football and cricket and pretty much every tennis tournament outside of the majors.

Plus, I took out Amazon Prime a few years ago specifically for the US Open tennis - but kept that for both the TV and because we like getting next-day deliveries.

Sad news - I remember him as a cracking ref who took no nonsense from the baying hoards of players who thought they could intimidate him. Black belt in judo, too, iirc.

Roland Garros

A couple of weeks ago, I swallowed my pride and paid £31 for a month of TNT Sport in order to watch the French Open (added bonus of the one-sided Champions League final, too). I'm so glad I did: an absolutely stonking final match to cap off a cracking tournament. 5.5 hours of gut-busting, energy-sap...

We'd probably want still to be in L2 if we do ever rebuild the main stand, given that we'll have reduced capacity for most - if not all - of a season.

I saw a link to the DB post-earlybird interview on Facebook (although I've not yet watched).

I did, however, read the comments... Good grief... A couple of "Sack The Board" calls and, as an added bonus, an early "I'm not attending until Flynn is sacked" post.

Further back, I don't think anyone can complain about transfers received for Gilles...

SC getting pelters from all sides on their forum - particularly over Doige not getting on the pitch, but also that he managed to get himself a touchline ban for this game.

Both Long and Sercombe cited amongst their "expensive and poor recruitment" last summer.

Also, I find that ubiquitous feckin' dog that walks along those electronic boards, irrationally irritating and distracting.

But if it allows us to show the match clock and score on the scoreboard, I'd put up with the dog.

The problem is, we have a single fixed camera that is in the CF stand. From an advertising perspective, the ideal place to have these electronic boards is directly opposite, in front of the Main stand - where, as you say, it's maybe not practical.
