The International Stadium is just over a mile from my office building, so a Friday or Monday night match for TV would suit me fine.

Heartbroken fans submitting their Q&As to JP for the first player interview only for the deal to collapse. I remember when Adam(?) Rooney was even listed in the squad list on the back of the match day programme but signed for someone else.

Our 6th loan signing, Tom Taylor from Ipswich. Striker. 20 years old, first loan by the looks of it. 2 goals in 3 Premier League 2 games this season. Fingers and toes crossed he turns out to be as good as some of Ipswich's other youngsters over the last few years. We already have a road named after...

A non-CTFC fan came with me to Rotherham away once just because he wanted to see Lowe play and score as he was his best player on Football Manager. And Lowey delivered. That is my worry My understanding is was that PB sold some of his shares to the trust (anyone in the trust can tell me I am wrong) When will there be a shareholders meeting The Trust update on acquiring some of PB’s shares can still be seen here, which confirms the percentage PB retained. https://w...

There are still a handful of free agents out there I did post a list in another thread but it wasn't too inspiring. There's a few here hoping to find a new home. https://x.com/PFA/status/1960004902974853517?t=RhXrcrSpoEYaJ2LvIKZocQ&s=19 Additionally they'll be others in the same boat as Bakare,...

Re: Michael Flynn after Barnet defeat
I think Flynn's answers are really troubling. There seems to be no consistency between what he says he wants & what he sets up... Also most worrying for me was the answer of "I've told the players 3 of you have the capability to play for a better team, the rest of you are only wanted by Ch...

Away at Rotherham. Got a lift with Red Duke, of this parish, only to see Le Fondre score four in a 6-3 or 6-4 defeat.

I was at the Stadium of Light for our 5-0 “slapping” there, as Duff called it.
Cotterill’s Notts County turned us over 5-0 and we also lost 3-5 at home to County as well.

And here's us struggling for left backs. Think most of us thought he looked decent enough to remain as back up when he was here and probably could have taken over when Ferry left. Not forgetting he played in some of our best games in L1. The most memorable for me was when he came off the bench to b...

Agree with Robin (I need a sit down!!) in that I don’t believe town centre is the way to go. The odd casual passing person won’t just suddenly change their plans to go to the football, it has to be directed at the right target audiences. Not all marketing is designed to make people suddenly change ...

Ronda. Imagine playing a friendly up there! Epic. In February a couple of mates and I stayed in a converted farm house at the bottom of the cliff below the view points. The scenic viewpoint lookout spots gathered quite a crowd to look down at out Mölkky matches. Walk up to town and back was a killer.

Re: Bid turned down for Archer
Worth noting that the temporary transfer window closes today at 7pm and then the proper one opens for the summer on Monday 16th. Am I wrong in thinking that has zero impact on us? We can still sign players only that cannot play at the club world cup (that's why this temporary closure was brought in...

I agree Benny - Keena gets a raw deal because he was our record signing as well. It's all ifs and buts, but, if one of his strikes in the first few games of 23/24 goes in - the one at Peterborough for example which smacked the bar, then who knows what he could have done. As it was, the goal he did ...

Scott Brown was signed from Bristol City in 2005. He didn't become number 1 until 08/09 if I remember correctly. Shane Higgs signed from Worcester City in 1999 and became number 1 in the 02/03 season. Higgsy had the shirt mainly from ‘02/03 (taken from Booky) until MA dropped him for Scotty. Was af...

Nathan Butler-Oyedeji made his Arsenal debut at Ipswich today, and nearly scored with his first touch, but the keeper finger-tipped his shot over the bar. Thought he looked really good. Re: CTFC spending on Agents' Fees - 02 Feb 24 to 03 Feb 25
I agree Jerry. I do not know how this system evolved. I paid my own legal, accountancy and financial services bills when I was working running a business. If I was a footballer I would get wise and not need an agent. I guess we don’t know if players do pay agents a fee or a percentage of signing-on...

The chart breaks down costs by keeper, defenders, midfielders and attackers so it does not appear to contain non-playing staff.
No idea if the numbers are right or where they get them from.

I am fairly sure it happens in the Northern League (9th tier). Team have to apply to be eligible for promotion (to the Northern Premier Div 1) by a certain date, unless it has changed in the last few years. There have been a few teams who have gone up from 4th or 5th as the teams above them chose no...

I was in the car on the way back from a family holiday with 5Live on. The two goals came in later than most other scores so they got a mention each time, interrupting whatever else they were talking about/commentating on.
