Re: TONIGHT: 2023/24 Club Annual Shareholders Meeting and Fans’ Forum
Well the meeting is still on You Tube here. https://www.youtube.com/live/eKrbu733csI?si=scuGj86AwIob6Tl7 My main take was that the major shareholders would be open to selling their stakes to the right people, but not to putting the 12 million quid in that some think they should. Good to hear Dave B...

Re: 1887 Red Army - Block 8?
The red army over-spill appears to make up the corner of the C&G. It would have been useful to get another group in block 7 which is currently showing as empty. Seats not selling well, I wonder if this is a result of the discount for 2x terrace tickets with supporters instead opting for this op...

Re: TONIGHT: 2023/24 Club Annual Shareholders Meeting and Fans’ Forum
Do we really want American investment though Robin?? I don’t. It’s ruining the game and when matches start being played over there then you’ll regret it. This is where a plan with a framework of objectives and outcomes would help. At the moment random ideas are thrown out all over the place in good...

Re: TONIGHT: 2023/24 Club Annual Shareholders Meeting and Fans’ Forum
A simple question.... How is the board supposed to invest money it does not have? For those who couldn't attend, Mr Bloxham was very clear that the board would not spend money that it did not have and that it would not bankrupt the club by going after some fanciful notion like a new stand at around...

Re: Shrewsbury big loss
I assume that your second point is all about tax avoidance. If the player paid the agent he would have to pay the VAT on the transaction. As the club and the agent are VAT registered, both can claim it back. And if two clubs want the same player one can gazzump the other by offering to pay fees. An...

Re: Shrewsbury big loss
Sorry but Agents fees are just another cost of doing business, like eg VAT, Electricity or Groundstaff's wages etc, only with one important difference: you have to pay those other expenses, but you don't have to pay Agents. That is, if you can't afford the transfer fee + the player's wages + the Ag...

Re: Peterborough - home tickets
Seats not selling very well, maybe the board were right. Last home game on a sat this season and plenty left, shame. It takes more than one game for word to spread and people to start realising tickets are available. I personally think you have to wait half a season of those blocks being open before...

No RCS - this is the most remarkable story in football history, up there with Leicester winning the Premiership. It's still in our hands. Reading can do the f*ck they want if they turn Burton over on Saturday. Never would goals from a financially doped strike force be more welcome.

1887 Red Army - Block 8?
If home fans have all of 1 to 8 in the CF could the 1887 Red Army get enough singers to have a unit at each end?
To help spread an atmosphere through the length of the ground and to help counter the away fans’ noise.
Anything to give even a 1% boost to the players in the last two games.

1-5 of the CF pretty much sold out for Lincoln on Saturday. Block 6 half full. Block 7 also on sale. If the good people of Cheltenham don’t turn out for their football club this weekend, they never will. Get the word out. It will take a good half a season for people to get used to tickets being ava...

Announce it now: NO Peterborough in the CF.
Darrell says the players need - and deserve - all the support possible: friends, drum and even guinea pigs.
That’s as clear a message as possible to the Board.

Look at league 2. The highest spending is soon to be relegated . It doesn’t necessarily correlate that the more you spend, the better your outcome . A bit like me missing Carlisle before, you have missed Wrexham. The highest spending is already promoted, but yes you’re right that money is no guaran...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Bristol Rovers
To play our aggressive pressing game we really need to use four fullbacks and four running strikers a match. This is something we haven’t been able to do since January, maybe even longer ago. We have run out of available fit players who can do it. When the likes of Lloyd and Ferry are playing throug...

Should we go down, which looks increasingly likely by the week. All for not feathering the nests of agents. But appreciate being prudent has consequences. As an aside, why on earth does this happen anyway? Why don’t players pay the agents fees? For me, all this began with the disastrous five minutes at home to Reading. If you're going back to that, why not 10 or so days earlier when we lost a 1-0 lead in the 89th minute and lost 2-1 to Orient. I wasn’t at that game so didn’t get any vibes from it. Did we destroy Orient as much as we were ...

A very pleasing result. Posh are looking unbeatable at the moment. Have they got any of the other relegation strugglers that they can take easy points off……….? Posh 1 Vale 0 HT It's the hope that kills you Peterborough 77% possession, 9 shots to Vale’s 1. Expect a 1-1 draw. 2 0.... That second goal drops Vale back down below Burton on goal difference. Amazingly, it’s perfectly possible that this time next week we can be out of the bottom four.
