JP said the final interview was between two candidates and there is nothing to suggest both interviews were not undertaken in good faith.

Re: CTFC have taken out a mortgage

Presumably the mortgage would be secured against what ever it is we are purchasing be that land or property. Floating charges are generally more risky for the bank (we may sell everything so making the security worthless) and more flexible for the business taking on the debt (as per my previous par...

Presumably the mortgage would be secured against what ever it is we are purchasing be that land or property. Read the charge notice I posted the link to. It is a debenture with flexible charge against all our assets. It means as a club we are free to buy and sell whatever assets we want, and if the...

Ok. If the HSBC loan is secured via a charge against our assets, and the assets are not worth much, then I wonder how big the loan is?!

As I said earlier thought, if it was a purchase like that I’d expect to see the debenture over that premises, not everything the club owns as is the case on the new one registered. Yes that’s right. Could John Eustace be our man? Mark Warburton tonight announced as West Ham assistant manager. In fairness, he damn nearly pulled off a miracle there, last season. In addition, he deserves a certain amount of respect for taking on a Championship job in order to cut his teeth when others (like Lampard) feel they're entitled enough to start their managerial career at a top club in the Prem, fa...

Wade 2/5
Matt Taylor 2/1
Beech 16
Artell 20

Doesn’t make much sense to me that he would be interested. But something must have caused the market to move.

The thing I hadn't appreciated about the fixtures coming out is how stark the strength of League One appears when laid out in front of you. It's going to be a tough, tough season. Strength based on team names alone? Because we don't know how many of them will be any good yet! At this stage, however...

It would be marvellous if it is the training ground, but I thought that it was owned by a pension fund. He did. Yes John Ward left after about two months into the 2007/08 season for Carlisle, who were probably a bigger club than us back then. Like Duffo, he realised he’d hit the ceiling with us. Always the risk in L1. There will always be a bunch of bigger teams with much more potential than us.

I assume the deposit has come from one or more of the three big shareholders. That’s the type of capital spending I like from investors - much rather that than them throwing away money on revenue costs (ie wages and marketing).

Worth remembering that a lot of Long’s appearances were at CB in the back three. That should be nothing but a temporary stop gap to cover injuries.

And Raglan, Chapman and Bonds were all hindered by injury.

Good stuff. Hopefully better on the ball and a bit fleeter of foot than Boyle.

Left of the back three, with Raglan in the centre. Just need a versatile CB who can play to the right of Raglan but cover across the back three when needed - although Lewis fits that bill quite nicely.
