Re: SATURDAY 9.00am pitch inspection

York had planned a pitch inspection originally but due to improved weather decided that it was no longer necessary. They were, rightly, being extra cautious given the distance our supporters have to travel. Unfortunately the message informing us that the pitch inspection was no longer needed didn't ...

Just to clear it up, there was no need for a pitch inspection. As of this moment (11.10am) the pitch is fine and has been all morning. If anything changes we will update via official site, Twitter etc.

Re: Northampton Game On or Off Saturday???

Pitch is fine at the moment but rain forecast tomorrow then supposed to be dry again Saturday. Will depend upon how much rain we get tomorrow and whether any of it carries over to Saturday. Best thing probably is to keep up to date with the official website and official Twitter.

Re: 2014-15 Home Kit

I wasn't involved with the kit this time (it coincided with the youth audit) but I'm not sure if it cropped up because the ruby was always meant to be a temporary thing (a bit like Arsenal did for their last season at Highbury). Down the years the main reasons for staying with Errea have been busine...

Re: 2014-15 Home Kit

Just a bit of historical perspective: The 'ruby' kit was brought in as a one-off to celebrate the club's 125th anniversary and was only supposed to be used for a single season. Because we were successful that year we ended up keeping the colours for another two seasons. The historical case for ruby ...

There is a room behind the home dressing room with a door onto the corridor. Sometimes they are asked to wait outside in the corridor until the manager h...

The missing three are all well known: 1) Very quick winger who had a couple of loan spells. Now at a higher division club 2) Central defender who had one season with us and played nearly every game. Now at another League Two club 3) Played in the game at Morecambe last week! In addition, there are t...

It's becoming increasingly obvious that someone, somewhere is making up rumours and circulating them around in order to undermine the club.
A bit of simple mathematics can dispell this one. 4K per week = £208K per year. That's 10% of our annual turnover on one employee. Not really feasible, is it?

Re: WTF - Lowe gone to York?

Just to be clear on the investment - the money has been spread over a period of time and is used only for signing players. However, as the money is invested in shares this does not appear on the profit and loss account. Therefore, we make a £150K loss on signing players which, in cash terms, is then...

Yes, the cap is applied to the current year only and embargoes can be applied at any time. Clubs are allowed to carry profits over but only if their P&L is in the positive (despite making two years profits ours is still down from many years previous). I don't know the ins and outs of every club ...

The League are quite strict on it and brought in a new measure a couple of years ago to stop clubs from exaggerating their commercial income. The percentage has also gone down to 55. Re: Chairman blames the board

Nobody is ruling out further loan signings but the main issue at the moment is the League Two salary cap. Having been knocked out of the cup we have to be a bit more selective and more vigilant in terms of making signings that will fit within the allowance. It was more to do with timing - being care...
