Great read, this comment made me laugh out loud
"I don't think we have won a second ball in midfield since Steve Cotterill left"

In the grand scheme of things
Is there much of a difference between a conference and 'lower' league 2 side?
its not like we got walloped by four.
The manor of the defeat has rightly upset people, but today was a one off game. There's glimpses (albeit rare) that this team can play and create chances.
ALL IS NOT LOST!!

Cold see it a mile off, I'm utterly baffled as to why nobody moved forward when the ball got played out? For most of the game Carson was yelling at the back four to push up.

I like the idea of the penalty taker wandering around the box putting the ball down (then picking it back up) in different areas.

I've not felt/experienced an atmosphere at WR like I did yesterday, complete negativity and the realisation from most that the writings on the wall for MY The clubs gone sour, lets take this opportunity (while we have the time) to address this situation.

Re: David James. Bankrupt and flogging gear.
I remember an episode of football focus where DJ was being hailed as some art critic (the Joey Barton of his time) he would be sharing his comments on famous pieces of art, he came across as a complete toss pot and his time of BT sport was just embarrassing. No sympathy at all.

Re: Who remembers...
I'm going to tell this story again, but I watched him play for Saints away to qpr and he was awful and struggled in a typically mid 90's shite Southampton team that fielded the 3 x Neil's Maddison, Shipperly, Heaney, Gordon (flash) Watson and Ken Monkou.

Going back a few years but didn't newport try and 'take' the paddock? the ensuing fight spilled onto the pitch (while game was going on) with certain CTFC fans jumping from the main stand into the melee.
I remember having to give a statement to the police afterwards.

Re: Cheltenham Fans Thrown Out Today
tbf sounds like the stewards may have got it right. Not long before chap X (the spa song) got ejected, there was one very angry young lad that was making a bee line for chap X followed by two stewards (he was ejected as well, I think), he seemed pretty angry and intent on 'approaching' chap X and no...

Took me back to the mid to late 90's when Town used to batter teams at WR, constantly winning the ball in midfield and getting the ball in the box.

What with all the talk of lower attendances at WR, I was thinking what the effects (social, financial, environmental, geographical) would be if WR was full to capacity every home game?
Would the club have even contemplated this scenario?
