JP has tweeted that Llyod has signed a new 3 yr contract until 2024

So that he is on our books until he is 24 so if he does the business at Port Vale and they want him they will have to pay

Good luck at PV Georgw, comeback here as a proven striker

If he gets game time and his fitness back I see no reason why he couldn’t score 15+ goals for us in L1 next season :D

MD believes in him, so are we wrong to?

Surprised at 3 years tbh but fingers crossed the loan is a good move for his development

Duff’s faith is why I believe Lloydy will come good at L1 level.

His goal at Stevenage last season showed what he can do. He's fast, he can jump, he's not afraid to put his head in where it hurts, he has a good engine, he has a good touch and he does have finishing ability. There's just something missing that stops him getting in the right position to score goals. The ball doesn't drop to him like it does for May and Williams. If he had the same number of chances as those two he would score a lot more than them, I believe. As it is, he finds himself getting so few chances that he snatches at them when they do come along. A lot of that is down to experience. Hopefully that is what he will get at Vale, but I'm not sure he will get enough game time there.

That could be why he's managing a League One team and you're not ;)

It seems to be this season plus 2. Slightly different slant to "three years" which might be taken as three more years.

It basically is 3 years, it's only 1st September and we are 5 league games into the first of the 3 seasons.

He seems to have the physical attributes to score goals. I wonder if Duff thinks this loan will help him develop the football intelligence that Duff refers to - the positioning, the extra half a yard in the mind thing?
Whereas we need someone with that ability well-honed this season.

The goal after he and Duff watched the Cavani clips shows what he can do when getting in the right place at the right time.
