Must seek compensation from the squatters if the match called off. How much more pain will it take for Baker to act.

The weather is perfect...must be the state of the pitch due to ground share.

If things get much worse we'll end up ground sharing with Ciren whilst the Gloucester Cuckoos take over our nest!

We just want our pitch back Alf. New signings eager to make their debuts today. Fans eager to see them. Is it really worth having to move games like this to a Tuesday night just to sell a few beers to Gloucester fans?

Get them out or at least get proper money out of them.

I can't see what difference an hour is going to make 2 hours maybe but not an hour.

I assume this means they didn't cover the pitch last night; I know the forecast was one degreeish but surely the covers should have been put on to make sure. And no we can't blame the squatters for the temperature.

Maybe it would suit us to have the game off today as it would give the manager another few days with his new squad?

I had to check here as the website is not updating information. Molehills outside are unfrozen so the game should be on. Poor communication by CTFC.

surely the final inspection has to be at a time that safely still allows travelling fans to get to the game

There's no easy solution as this would involve making a decision too early, before a pitch has had a chance to defrost. Calling games off early when the pitch later proves to be ok will infuriate a lot of home fans and hit clubs financially.

I was told the frost covers were on

Yesterday the sun came out and it went up to 6C at Pittville

I can imagine that the away end has barely thawed out all week
With no sun it will be touch and go
We need some of the straw from the racecourse on top of frost cover

There is of course a another explanation ( conspiracy theory) but I am not going there

Why don't they wait till everyone is in the ground and then call it off?

Or of course, they could call it off early, then watch conditions improve so that the pitch is in fact fit for play, and folks on here could have a(nother) moan and criticise the club. Poor sods can't win either way.

As a act of decency the game should be delayed for at least an hour. Burton fans are furious.

The message from Paul Baker should be: pay double the rent or relocate.
